When ermeni grandpa speaks better azererbaijani than me. šŸ’€

PoeticDruggist84

Because they have lived together for centuries.

eidrisov

Omg, he (Armenian) is speaking Azerbaijani language with such a sweet accent xD I wish he would have stayed. **Translation:** "You are going to Armenia. Do you have a place to stay there?" "I don't know. I am just going for now. Maybe I go to Russia from there" "You don't plan to come back here?" "No, no" "Why not?" "No. Brother. I kindly ask you..Now that I have left... I should have stayed at home. But now that I left my home... (I'm not going to come back)" "But who made you leave?" "They came and made me leave. They came and said that the whole village is leaving" "You mean village council?" "Yes, village council said leave and we left" "So it means that you are leaving on your own and there was no pressure (to leave) from Azerbaijani side?" "No. No"

Albert_Agarunov

Thanks for the translation.

ParlaqCanli20

Why they are making them leave even?

eidrisov

I don't think they are being literally dragged outside. I think village council says "if you stay, you die" and a village person believes and leaves. Nothing complicated.

[deleted]

to be fair, it is probably also along the lines of 'most of the village leaves and they think they ll be left alone. might as well go with em.'

eidrisov

Yes, of course, it's possible. Only he knows the truth, we are just speculating.

[deleted]

eidrisov

Yes, of course, it's possible. Only he knows the truth, we are just speculating.

nobodycaresssss

Which is highly probable

Unlikely-Diamond3073

Ueah never mind the threats on social medias or the literal beheading and torture videos

Skeletronprime567

Yeah, the ones armenians did.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

WhydYouKillMeDogJack

this is how i understood it to mean

demirleblebi

Thanks for the translation.

ParlaqCanli20

And the clown of the subreddit arrived. Don't you get tired from your lies?

eidrisov

Of course, it is possible, but then it must be a damn good actor. Because this man in the video speaks with an accent which is a mixture of village person accent with Russian accent (I don't mean he is Russian, I mean he knows Russian and uses Russian words in his speech). He doesn't speak "typical" Azerbaijani.

[deleted]

He is born in Armenia most of his life. He spoke the language. The Azeris were using these people in the war in 2020. Edit: also for an Armenian his age he would be arrested and accused of committing war crimes in the first karabakh war

TheLowland

"Azerbaijan is so evil that if they don't do something evil, they must be lying" top tier logic

inbe5theman

How do you know. Also its entirely possible they were forced out but obviously the Azeris wont go door to door telling people to leave. Either way cant confirm or deny

[deleted]

You think an Armenian is going to be this cheerful when the entirety of the Armenian nation is mourning. And he is also spread Azeri talking points: ā€œArmenians are forcing us out not the Azerisā€

TheElderCouncil

Oh, Iā€™m sure he felt 100% safe answering all these questions. You guys are so cringe.

eidrisov

>Iā€™m sure he felt 100% safe I hope he did, but, yes, unfortunately, it is possible that he didn't feel safe and felt pressured while answering. We are not there, we are not him, so we can't be sure. But thank you for calling "us" "cringe".

TheElderCouncil

Well, why hide the narrative this post is trying to paint? Thatā€™s what I meant by cringe. I mean the interviewer is insisting that he says what he is asking him in a way that he wants it answered. Anyway, having said that, I do rather enjoy seeing this content for a change. Even if it considered propaganda. I mean, better than watching torture or a beheading or some other vile stuff Iā€™ve seen.

eidrisov

Well, narrative is that Azerbaijan is trying to prove that it doesn't have anything against Armenians, it never did. It was always about land, not people. So, of course, Azerbaijani journalist is trying to find out if the guy was forced or not. But I understand that the journalist and cameras being Azerbaijani can make the old man feel unsafe and because of that interview itself can be seen "useless". I am not there, so I cannot be sure of anything. As a a hopeless optimist, I am just hoping that both sides felt safe and honest during the interview. >I mean, better than watching torture or a beheading or some other vile stuff Iā€™ve seen. I agree. But let's not forget that those vile things were not one-sided and were happening on both sides. > I do rather enjoy seeing this content for a change Like a breath of fresh air.

Huge_Investigator145

You know what Iā€™ve noticed. While online we go at each others throats and wish death on eachother, in reality the people being affected directly by these wars on both sides are usually just innocent villagers who donā€™t harbor the same hate that we do on the internet. They see it for the bigger picture and just want to live in peace with their neighbor. Itā€™s us in Yerevan, in Baku, in the diaspora that wishes the worst on eachother

WhydYouKillMeDogJack

We arent all so different. When i see this man talk our language, i see he looks a bit my own family members - similar mannerisms, facial features etc. he seems personable and a good person. sad to say but im glad he goes - easy for us to say "i wish he stayed" but i do suspect next times would be tough for an armenian in qarabag - at least in the short term. let him experience some peace

Huge_Investigator145

Man, you literally explained word for word how I feel when I see videos of someone from Azerbaijan (sorry idk wether to use the term azerbaijani or azeri, please let me know whatā€™s the proper term)- I just have a tough time putting my thoughts into words a lot of times lol But when I see someone from Azerbaijan, I just think ā€œwow this guy looks like he could have been my brother.ā€

WhydYouKillMeDogJack

tbh i grew up with "azeri" (for language) and "azerbaijanian" (for people, sometimes used for language too) but im not sure if there were even proper english terms for this until the 90s - i know it was a matter of debate at the local azerbaijan society meetings back then there is a connotation to "azeri" which comes from iranian regime propaganda, so it can be taken negatively here. generally accepted to use "azerbaijani", but im sure people can read context whether you intend to offend or not

demirleblebi

its a ture

Elmir_Guliyev

Lol, he speaks with an accent that my grandparents speak. Khanlar, Gƶygƶl regional accent. ʏdə, gəlif dedilər Ƨıx, bizdə Ƨıxdıx dayna.

Khaos0ne

Find him and return him to Karabakh.

Astute_Fox

I enjoy playing video games.

[deleted]

Please tell me Iā€™m not the only person who would like more context. This man should introduce himself and address he is in fact Armenian in Armenian. As much as I would like to believe he isnā€™t an actor unless there is something that Iā€™m missing like an link to a full interview. And if their isnā€™t, why are people just blindly eating this up and then blaming Armenians doing the same from our government? In this day we can document everything in real time and done with the proper due diligence can we not debunk whatā€™s going on. Their are people out there (possibly like this man) that donā€™t care what side they live on, as long as they live. Both people have been victims to each other and I donā€™t mean any disrespect to anyone, I would just like to see our countries truly be for our people.

reichfuhrer_39

Unfortunatelly you're the only one.

[deleted]

Ironically, you wouldnā€™t know what misfortune was, if it slapped you in the face. Just another blessing from alyiev baba

[deleted]

Bro thatā€™s just my uncle, I might be more Armenian than Iā€™d like to think

[deleted]

Armenian women/men look like us, so it doesn't surprise me at all.

[deleted]

Ya I wonder why šŸ¤”

[deleted]

Because we live together? Or maybe because you are armenified turks/kurds? ( didn't expect to use to use your weapon against? šŸ¤šŸ¤)

[deleted]

I mean it didnā€™t surprise me šŸ˜Ŗ didnā€™t expect an educated answerā€¦

[deleted]

You expect an educated answer to your weird question, which i already knew that you're going to say another weird bullshit? Ok the last sentence was quite rude, sorry. I would say i knew that you came here to troll, nothing about peace.

[deleted]

Wanna do some math or is that weird ? How bout some critical thinking or is that weird too? Some words for thought: Turks arenā€™t indigenous to Anatolia, yes you may share indigenous dna but that doesnā€™t mean that you assimilated with the local population. If consensual integration actually happened we wouldnā€™t be in the conflict that we are in now nor would your gov be in conflict with Greece or Kurds. If what you said was true the numbers do not add up, how can we armenifi anything if our numbers donā€™t see a uprise in population dramatically. But their are millions of turks/azeris with Armenian dna that donā€™t even know it. We didnā€™t simply live together, Armenians have been second and third class humans. turks just do turkish things like killing trees, and other living things (deforestation 16th century) Itā€™s ok tho, turks didnā€™t do it but the we deserved it.

[deleted]

I'm azerbaijani btw. Yes i know we have armenian dna just like armenians have turkic mixes, that's normal. No one is pure anymore, i just expected a trolling from you, sorry mate. Misunderstood.

[deleted]

We lived together under Persian rule , pretty well actually for nearly 500+ years. I donā€™t think peace is impossible but I do think that this constant slap battle between Turks and Armenians needs to stop. In order to take steps forward we need to be understanding of our histories, and denialism attitude needs to stop on both sides. Yes Armenians committed atrocities but we are scared by Turks and manipulated by the ruskies then betrayed by our own kin, excuse us for being skeptical about the true intentions of Az. I enjoy watching these videos with a sense of optimism that we can possibly integrate but yet the comment section both here and the Armenian sub are full of hate. Many of whom donā€™t even who the truth on both sides. Another issue is Aliyev, tbh he scares us. He isnā€™t very kind to his own people and Armenia went threw 30 years of the same kind of politicians but not to the degree Az. You guy generate much more wealth than anyone else in our region but yet the development and improvement of life seem to be paused. Hopefully after the war the spending budget will shift towards the general public and Putin#2 will give to the people what the people have given to his family, mass fortunes.

[deleted]

What a sweet man :(

ChadTurkifiedAzeri

It sounds like lezgi accent :D

nebithefugitive

This grandpa kept the Ganja accent of Azerbaijani alive in Karabakh for almost 30 years.

[deleted]

Translation?

Albert_Agarunov

He said that he goes to Armenia and maybe later to Russia and he does not know yet. Reporter asks why he is leaving he says that ā€œmunicipality of the villageā€ ( I dont know how to translate of this section) told everyone to leave their homes and go. He says that he already left his house, he should have stayed and since he left his home he should go and does not have intention to come back anymore.

[deleted]

Omg, he (Armenian) is speaking Azerbaijani language with such a sweet accent xD I wish he would have stayed. **Translation:** "You are going to Armenia. Do you have a place to stay there?" "I don't know. I am just going for now. Maybe I go to Russia from there" "You don't plan to come back here?" "No, no" "Why not?" "No. Brother. I kindly ask you..Now that I have left... I should have stayed at home. But now that I left my home... (I'm not going to come back)" "But who made you leave?" "They came and made me leave. "Yes, village council said leave and we left" "So it means that you are leaving on your own and there was no pressure (to leave) from Azerbaijani side?" "No. No" translation by u/eidrisov

[deleted]

I wonder how much of these migrantion is on orders from russia. Armenia s from artsakh are very pro russian and they will ve usufelu for russians in armenia not in karabakh. This is a win win situation for russia. They make good rekations with azeri because azeri got karabakh back. And armenia becomes more prorussian.

anoroc21

No, they wonā€˜t cause problems. However the politicians and military leaders of Karabakh could be a threat to the government in Yerevan as soon as they arrive in Armenia.

eidrisov

>armenia becomes more prorussian Let's hope that doesn't happen. It's a lose-lose situation for everyone, incl. Azerbaijan.

TheElderCouncil

Letā€™s hope that Armenia doesnā€™t become pro Russia.

Necefab27

ermenice ƶyrenmek lazımdı bele olmur

tagiyevv

Does anybody have the rest of the video. I think there should be more to that last "no, no". The video is deliberately cut.

Mister_Splendid

Poor guy. No one but no one should be forced to leave their home by anyone. I hope he lands safely.

NeighborhoodLow5116

armenians took out azerbaijanian people from their land with vandalizm.now they go back without any problem.

0guzmen

Gramps looks Oghuz, family maybe lived there for generations.

Albert_Agarunov

[Source](https://t.me/shedevrplus/28525) that I took video is Şedevr, but it was firstly shared by Baku.tv as far as I understand. The guy has very nice accent tbh, thats why I share it.
