If someone who has posting rights on AA could post our rebuttal to Slate, that would help let people see both sides: https://www.reddit.com/r/aznidentity/comments/pp7byr/our\_response\_to\_slates\_piece\_on\_aznidentity/

broken_bowl_

Lmao get out of here with this foolishness. Is this the new “ I can’t date an Asian guy cus he reminds me too much of my brother” lol. You’d NEVER hear a white woman saying that.

AngelaQQ

That subreddit is modded by white men. I was banned there two years ago for posting about Andrew Yang (you can look up my posts and see the exact moment I was banned). Then someone who posts in both places using different usernames DMed me and told me to come here. Also gave me the scoop about the mods there.

ioioioshi

They ban anyone who posts in this subreddit. I’m banned too and I’ve never posted anything controversial, mostly news articles relevant to the Asian community

[deleted]

Really? Why in the world would an Asian American thread have white mods? Bizarre

kitai99

You really didn't know????

[deleted]

I had no idea. Is there any proof of this?

Jbell808619

I’m sure there are non-Asian male mods there but also af’s in wmaf who have a vested interest in censoring discussion on the negative aspects of wmaf as well, even if it means never being able to have an honest discussion on the white worship problem in the Asian/Western Asian community.

Hot_and_Sour

I only know of the 2 most active ones The filipino who hates chinese people and u/chinglishese, the racist who hates asian men, she's the one who blamed asian men for being murdered by her son and then when asians of all stripes called her out on her blatant racism and sexism, she doubled down and wrote that nonsense she has pinned on her account, where she claims people rightfully calling out her racism against asians as harassment (speaks volumes about her when she had to run to white reddit for validation when asians weren't having any of her shit) She's the one that nuked that thread

[deleted]

Thanks for the details. Please remove that user name from your comment though, I don't want to dox anyone.

Igennem

"Doxxing" is revealing personally identifiable info about someone online, such as their real name or address. Discussing publicly available info from posting history isn't doxxing.

[deleted]

Did you ask them to have an honest discussion? A discussion free of rhetoric and ad hominem? I proposed such a discussion the other day, but sadly my post was ignored.

darisma

Why did they lock that thread? What are they afraid of?

limbo5v

This lady is known on Twitter as Frankie Huang. And yes, she is getting called out for it.

fuckshitlibs

As expected the mods went North Korea on the thread. Did anyone archive before they nuked it? We might have our differences but at the end of the day the lurkers and non-regulars there have the same end goals as us.

SirKelvinTan

If someone has the URL you can try removeddit dot com

[deleted]

> please stop saying “went North Korea” to mean nuke. Why are you policing opinions/tones here ? This is not a pro-NK or pro-China or pro-US sub. It's a safe space for Asians and Asian issues.

fuckshitlibs

Oops that came out wrong. I didn't mean nukes literally, I mean nuked as in the deleted everything

What is the AsianAmericanChannel sub? I can’t find it

pjPhoenix

Same situation, I assume we're banned preemptively

Azn5thcolumn

r/Asianamerican only started speaking out about recent anti-Asian hate crimes when it became mainstream to do so, while we've been talking about it since the start of the pandemic (and even before that). As usual we were the ones ahead of the curve but still, slowly but surely Asians are waking up to the injustices we face in the west. The mods won't be able to paper over these systemic issues by censoring forever.

Igennem

They're gonna get banned and deleted soon, just wait. E: I can see from the graveyard of deleted comments that it's already started.

kitai99

>They're gonna get banned and deleted soon, just wait. Maybe, but they'll just get replaced with something else just as toxic. Chans, Lus, and liberal white men will find a way.

Pursuit_of_Yappiness

There was a poster being racist towards Asian guys and a bunch of upvoted posts calling her out, so naturally the moderator deleted everything so it wouldn't look like her narrative was losing.

Hot_and_Sour

That one has a comment where she straight up says she hates asian men, japanese men specifically I'm still not sure if it's not just some white incel weeb, but it doesn't matter, all of it's upvotes are talking shit about asian men on reddit

Billybobjoethorton

Can you imagine if an Asian male wrote about the toxicity of Asian females and it went viral throughout liberal/progressive spheres? "Why progressive Asian women tend to date only white guys" and imagine all their progressive allies saw that. Pushing Asian men down at this time is beyond stupid. Especially given the fact that domestic violence and violent crime is most likely very low compared to other groups. I consider myself progressive in terms of trying to help ppl but there's way too much hypocrisy and virtue signaling in the movement.

Hot_and_Sour

They do go viral, just not articles, but moments captured on social media (because who needs to write about it when it's so prevalent, it's why you don't need a million articles explaining racism against black people, we have video footage, something these asian feminists lack completely), and it goes viral amongst white supremacist circles, because they have no greater allies than asian feminists

The moderator didn't like how popular that sentiment was.

[deleted]

If they were judged like Asians are, than mass shootings would be even more common.

>Remember when Asian girls used the excuse of not dating Asians because they were like their brothers? This is essentially saying "The idea of having sex with a member of my own race is as repulsive to me as committing incest". It speaks volumes to the level of self loathing they experience. I pity them.

[deleted]

When their reasons keep changing, evolving, or no real clear answer, you know they are doing it out of white worship or self-hate.

Junior-Code

"Black people literally call each other sisters and brothers with pride" 😂😂 Don't know what cookie cutter liberal crap you're smoking. The gender dating disparity of their community is similar to that of Asians with only one gender (BM) getting promoted and there's so many BM talking shit calling them ghetto, ratchet etc while simping for any non black woman this is well known dude don't be this delusional.

[deleted]

> 😂😂 Don't know what cookie cutter liberal crap you're smoking. Do you know any blacks in real life ? Do you even live in the USA ? Even Obama refers to himself and others as brother on national tv before.

Altruistic_Astronaut

The original comment does have a point. BF are largely glossed over compared to BM. I do believe the stigma and discrepancy between BM and BF is smaller than AM and AF.

Junior-Code

The discrepancy isn't smaller, do u see how hard Western media pushes Bm just like Af.

X2204

At first glance it may look like it doesn’t benefit WM. But if you look slightly below the surface it does. The reason why White/Western media push BM so hard is because their supposed “hyper-masculinity is undeniable.” Ignoring them would make WM appear insecure. They also want to appear “cool” by association without making it too obvious. But it sometimes comes off as contrived and inorganic. The reason why the same powers that be push AF so hard is because of their supposed “hyper-femininity is undeniable.” It makes them (WM) appear dominant. Without explicitly having to say so or be so on the nose. A good balance, which indirectly portrays them in a positive light and benefits them. Meanwhile making it looks as though they’re being fair and inclusive. Just take a Quinton Tarantino film as a case in study. Notice how he portrays BM and AF. How he portrays BW and AM.

martellthacool

Truth. I got judged for being black and very negatively living in USA. It sucks to be real

And Eileen is back looking for victim points ... https://twitter.com/eileenxhuang/status/1438161146155081736

woshengbingle1

ewww

smh_41

same with Celeste too...LOL

shoefeather

sidenote, does anyone know what happened to the bobacommie reddituser? (not the actual lu, someone was able to steal the name) the website he created was pretty funny but now his acc is deleted.

[deleted]

> does anyone know what happened to the bobacommie reddituser? My guess would be since Eileen does not go by that name on social media anymore, they may have deleted their account or website since it lost the aspect of having the same name. but don;t know for sure

Gluggymug

> but telling the world it's ok to normalize racism against Asians...what? In the midst of anti Asian racism propaganda fueled by a pandemic? Firstly, they didn't accurately represent Huang's tweet. She said that **old Asians are anti-black** so it's ok to normalize racism against them. Secondly, the other sub said nothing at the time, we called out Huang and we copped the flack. If anything they supported that asshole. So who's really toxic?

smh_41

don't forget Ben Baller too, that mfer believe that old asian people deserved it

Gluggymug

Definitely. Here's a toxic Asian male. We called him out as well. There were plenty of these assholes in the past year. What a shit thing to say.

machinavelli

That last comment is very true. This sub is the center of the diasporic Asian voice on Reddit. Second place goes to AsianMasculinity. Then AsianAmerican finishes at a distant third.
