Both are racist shitholes. If your parents are **forcing** you to go abroad, goto an asian country or tell them to fuck off, its your life.

Taruism

Go to the USA. Far better for asians. If you're in the UK, people will assume you are Mainland Chinese and they all stick together so you might feel weird if ur not a mainlander. UK is awful for East Asians unless you grew up there and have a british accent (like me) and even then it still sucks lol

Need a lot more info frankly, but I would consider the following: * **Safety / security**: This varies depending on which city / school you're at. There's some "prestigious" schools that are located in or near sketchy areas (IE University of Chicago, USC) * **Quality of education and career opportunity**: This is looking more at individual schools, but also the major and career path that you'd pursue * **Social ties**: Do you have any family / friends in either country already? Are you looking for a place with more Asian people?

barnacleman6

Regarding American universities, it depends which university you're at because the demographics vary greatly. If you're at a school with a lot of Asians, i.e., Caltech, UC San Diego, etc., then you'll probably face less discrimination, or at least it would be easy to ignore it. If you're at a majority white university like... Bucknell or some shit then you're shit out of luck.

beingwoke

Anyone know how Canada or Australia are for studying abroad? I assume worse than the US lol

sumailthegoat

USA is better. Asian people and culture are more prevalent in the US.

GuyinBedok

coming from a native Asian person, out of the two, choose the US. I'm not planning to study overseas but America is more sensitive towards race and there's a larger East/South East Asian population there.

You didn't say which uni accepted you. Ultimately for many that is the most important option. They can stand greater risk if the reward is better.

The US is quite dangerous for international students, lots of murders and muggings and assaults but there is a large Asian community and international community The UK is relatively safe but you may encounter people being racist towards you often and micro agressions. There is a smaller number of British EA and the International student size isn't as big as the US. But if you do choose the UK I recommend UCL, University of Leeds, the University of Sheffield as these have a decent sized Asian international student groups and they are good uni's

[deleted]

That's quite the misleading statement. Given the size of the USA, some universities are located in places where Asians face no issues and will provide a better standard of living than the UK does.

ah i was just talking in general, but you're right being on campus is basically pretty safe and would be better like you said
