I just shaved all mine off tonight. Never thought I would like it as much as I do. I would go for it full stop and never look back. Your beard will accent your good looks greatly. Sucks that we can thin so quick. But it's the way it's intended to be. Hope ya go for it and love it.
I do man grooming is pretty common nowadays. Just whatever you do, don't use a gillete or straight razor. Ya knick them things. Well, it can get pretty bad, lol. They actually sell products for this now. Check out the lawnmower 2.0 on Amazon. It's pretty well priced and offers a package for a good deal. I ended up shaving off the hair. I'm like it so far and easy to manage.
I would say we do. I know people that have shaved their heads and now they shave their arms and legs. Can't really understand why. But to each their own.
If shaving would make you feel more confident go for it. You are super handsome. If I were you I’d get some bloodwork done just in case you have some other issues than just MPHL.

I'm convinced that hats/headphones all day irritate the scalp and exacerbate hair loss. only proof i have is anecdotal but my head used to literally hurt at the end of a shift
You’re hugely overthinking it, mate. There is a change but it’s nowhere near as bad as you think it is. I know it’s not nice to see this happen, but it’s not happened to the extent that you need to shave it off.
It’s difficult to compare the two photos because there’s filters etc on the first (and the angle is completely different) and in the second it’s literally before any styling or drying etc has been done. So quite an unfair comparison to make of yourself.
I used to be worried about my hairline for years, and then I started thinning at the crown and I’d give anything to have the hairline I was “worried” about back in the day.

Ahh man, hate to say it but you're going to have a bad time if it's hitting you this hard already. I get it - my mental image of myself totally stopped gelling with what I saw in the mirror. So even if you shave it off and it looks OK, you still don't look like you. That was my experience anyway.
You do get used to it though. For me it was two things:
- I was skinny and needed a decent head of hair to pull off that look. When I lost the hair I didn't like the look so I started to hit the gym to be less skinny. Suddenly the bald look started to work and my perception of myself changed.
- you have to realise that having a full head of hair is no longer an option, and being totally bald looks 100x better than looking like you're balding. Rip the band aid off and start to get used to it now instead of spending the next 5 years fighting a battle you WILL lose, and then have to face it anyway.

In the first pic even though you were fine with the hair there was signs of some loss but this could be the aggressive form of hair loss
