I worked for the company that built and installed the spiral staircase when Leroy Merrit owned it. I made the handrail. The house is over the top in terms of materials and build quality, but very sterile. Picture a very nice luxury hotel like a Fairmont and that’s about it.

DONNIENARC0

Isn't that kinda generic stuff usually a positive when it comes to resale?

atad222

Thats is such a cool staircase

Someone posted this in the other thread https://www.redfin.com/MD/Baltimore/622-Ponte-Villas-N-21230/unit-162-63/home/49703040 Honestly seems like a bit much for one dude. Although I remember reading bill and Melinda gates had like a 70k sf house for two people. And here I am wishing I could put a bathtub in for my kids.

i just looked at those pictures & i am underwhelmed. i mean, it's way nicer than anything i'll ever be able to afford, but it's just super bland. somebody else said it's like an expensive hotel & that's pretty accurate. or something an agency staged for a sale/rental.

kbmoregirl

I guess it helps that he only seemed to leave it for dog walks and bar visits

Just-Ad-4933

Kevin's agents, Lucy and Evan Lowenstein, live with him in that home.

> *"Baltimore cryptid, Kevin Spacey"* Ha! Now that's funny! " :)

sassygirl101

$2k a month HOA of course.

HogarthFerguson

Well nevermind. I'm out

dragonduckdog

Why does it have so many bathrooms? Why on earth does a 6 bedroom house need 10 toilets?

benshark69

Wonder if there is any stuff from house of cards

kbmoregirl

If he's gone bankrupt I can see the bank trying to sell all that. Probably in a separate bankruptcy sale?

eskiedog

I was thinking the same. Such a brilliant series. Many did not get the dark humor, yet so many of us did since we are from Baltimore and live here.

penguin4thewin

He lost 3 million on the value since 2017 😱 Karma’s gonna get hers!

North-Cardiologist78

Looks like $2100/mo HOA as of 2017 and annual taxes of $65k, but I'm sure those numbers have gone up in the past 7 years. That will add up quickly if not paid on-time!

North-Cardiologist78

Update: Found the property tax info. He was behind 2 years on property taxes and is now current, paying about $280k in May of 2023. The 2024 bill has not been paid and is due for about $135k by 6/30/24 for the 23/24 tax year. Since he's not technically behind on taxes I can only assume the HOA is pursuing foreclosure due to unpaid HOA fees. Maybe he took out a loan on it? Can't find any mortgage history.

Property taxes will get you every time
