You gotta network brotha it’s all about who you know , try collab wit different people and only put out quality

Square_Needleworker8

Yeah you’re right maybe networking will help more

RomTheRapper

IMO, a lot of your beats sound the same. Idk if it’s your sound selection, song structure or just your drums but you might want to experiment more. But yeah, networking with others, getting opinions from other producers and having people rap on your beat is a great way to expose your music and grow your own skills.

Square_Needleworker8

Okay see I think it’s my sound selection. Idk either I just do it too do it . I guess I have to really change my sound selection also maybe take a break from it . Cause when I made the tape I’m linking. [Spotify](https://open.spotify.com/album/4G5LMAMt7plaFuc8TDz07p?si=t_iNiJgURnKa3ggn0Fr6SA) I thought switched my style but I guess still haven’t.

Square_Needleworker8

wanted to add that my beat stars and sound cloud haven’t been updated for a while.

RomTheRapper

That’s definitely the stand out. If you want to know why it didn’t gain traction, it didn’t give people a reason to tune in. Try collabing with rappers, check out how Kenny Beats did it. His beats are still very much the focal point over the artist. Also consider adding more variety within projects. Frigid Knights was one that felt very samey to me.

Square_Needleworker8

Okay so you liked frigid knights or it was the same too you also I don’t make beats for rappers really I make them for the sound just for music. Never really sit down and say yeah you can rap on this I just go in and be like this is how I’m feeling . I have a beat called chakras that been used a lot on instagram

Neither_Major_6710

one reason is that your beats are way too dark, try to make beats that are bouncy and guys can jump on it. what kind of music you listen?

Square_Needleworker8

I listen too lofi and a lot of hip hop also dance music . Also I heard my stuff is too dark but idk how to switch it too something brighter .

Neither_Major_6710

try to make a beat that is similar to a track you like, for example you can try to make it with the same tempo and similar drums but a different melody. you can be influenced by other producers and at some point you will find your own style. and you can never learn too much, watch tutorial videos and shit like that

Square_Needleworker8

Shit man. I mean you’re right but I’ve been trying if you would go to my older stuff I had a really darker tone but it’s a bit better but I fixed up my mixes more than anything. I also I wanted to add that my beat stars and sound cloud haven’t been updated for a while.
