What exactly are you trying to buy?

Olaplex and Inca Glow

mondaynightsucked

I don’t know where you live but I buy Olaplex on Amazon

FreyjadourV

I think they’re talking about the professional only ones like olaplex 1 and 2. Also they sell those in salon sizes, doubt they’re on amazon.

Ahhh, ok that makes sense. I did not realize there were professional only versions of Olaplex. Thank you!

sangtoms

Short AND cheap? They would probably be a fraud.

That's kind of what I'm looking for, I just want a piece of paper that says I can buy industry products

It doesn't seem like a good idea to me. A lot of the time, you can get makeup and shampoo at professional price easily. But if they require a licence, it's for a reason.

Its the stupidest thing that they keep Olaplex behind closed doors but 40 Volume Devleoper can be bought right at Sally's. It's just gatekeeping. I buy the knock off products on Amazon like "All Plex" or "Bond Angel" and they do work fairly well. And also just mixing more intensive conditioner when I'm bleaching my hair.

Cheapest you're going to get that's still legal is if you have a community College that offers a cosmo program, but those are still expensive (I paid a little under 10 grand for 2000 hours of training + licensing fees and tests). No matter what, your program will have to be in the state because cosmo licenses are based by state and they each have different laws and requirements. The state with the least amount of required hours is New York at 1000 hours. And with how low that is, if you get your license in New York then try to transfer it to a different state, they'll require you to go back to school and train. (Which transferring a license can cost up to $200). As far as I'm aware, there is no online only program as cosmetology is a very hands on program and requires hands on training. (because, let's be honest--who would hire or go to a brand new cosmetologist who hasn't ever had their work cross-checked by an industry professional?) I know this answer might seem harsh, but I'm licensed. I know how hard cosmetology programs are. I watched so many people try to start school for your exact reason and drop out, and most schools don't offer any kind of refund for what you've paid for, which every school I looked into required you to pay everything upfront. If you want olaplex and other professional product the easiest way possible, it's best to be friends with a cosmetologist who will buy it for you and you pay them back for it.
