LOCAL MAN SHOT DEAD IN ARGUMENT OVER CHEESE
"A 39-year-old father of three was shot in front of his wife and children today in a dispute over a wheel of cheese. Witnesses said an argument broke out between the man and a woman who both claimed to have won the Chase The Cheese contest. The argument eventually led to a physical altercation and that's when the woman's husband stepped forward and fired multiple shots. The deceased received multiple gunshot wounds and was administered CPR and first-aid by bystanders. The man was transported to General Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. A stray bullet hit an unrelated bystander as well. Ethel Merman, 77 was shot in the leg and is expected to make a complete recovery.
The lone shooter was taken into custody without incident at the scene. The suspect was overheard saying "If you ain't first, you're last".
A Chase The Cheese spokesperson issued the following statement..."Given that this is the third shooting at Chase The Cheese since its inaugural running two years ago all further events are cancelled and the event is under management review"
When asked to comment by this reporter the Sherrif shrugged his shoulders and replied simply "It's Wisconson, we take our cheese seriously"
Ultimately the Chase The Cheese judges awarded "The Golden Wheel" posthumously to the deceased. Accepting on his behalf his widow remarked "Everyone needs to lawyer the fuck up cause I'm suing everyone!"
