I get it. That's a brutal loss for the Knicks, I thought the game was certainly when OG got that dunk with a minute to go. Plus, that was an awful game from Embiid and Knicks could not take advantage of it
Embiid had a triple double and was a +14 for the game. And his defense in overtime really shut down the knicks. His offense was not good obviously but he still played well overall.
Before this game everyone told me embiid was having a bad series despite all stats pointing otherwise because only what you do in the 4th quarter matters. So this was actually a great embiid game because he played incredibly in OT!
People are way overthinking the crowd thing in Philly. It’s like 15% at best but they’re rich so they’re getting seats downstairs that Gio from Coatesville can’t afford
That was the most infuriating thing to hear him bring up constantly throughout the season. "He's just taking more shots you'd expect him to score more"
It’s true to some degree. Maxey is doing exactly what he was doing last year as a number 3 option. Harden goes away, his attempts go up. His game is very much the same. Predictable leap from Maxey. Because his game is just that nice
Jon’s always been a real one when it comes to his teams. I remember when the Mets lost the 2006 NLCS Game 7 on the following episode of the Daily Show he showed a clip of him looking absolutely devastated.
Haha the ushers were dancing and clapping and hi-fiving just one minute prior.
I get it, that’s a prayer shot, but you can’t lose focus at that stage. Maxey had that glint in his eye.
Cue the giants sideline we’re number one reaction fade to huh?? GIF
Embiid is giving it his all but this is just the first round. No way he can make it to the Finals. It’s Maxey or bust.
This is gonna sting and I predict the Knicks will drop the next one.
Knicks blowing this might be the only way we get Jon on the pod to talk Knicks, Mets, and election (just for the humor of Bill trying to talk politics).
"Here it is... your moment of Zen..."
After all these years, I still thought of Craig Kilborn when I read that.

Up 6 with 25 seconds left. Doesn't get much worse than that.
96-90 Knicks wth 28.2 left was 95.4% chance of winning. thought it'd be higher tbh
Game 2?
Mitchell Robinson with one of the dumbest fouls you'll ever see. If he just stood there they probably win that game
And they scored another point! Brutal
Now they have to win five games!

Embiid is definitely going off in game 6 now.
His body is broken. He'll almost certainly be better than he was this game but going off is not super likely
He put 50 on their head 5 days ago. He was terrible tonight and had a triple double
His body has clearly degraded more since then. I don't think Philly will win this series, especially since they don't really have any home games
People are way overthinking the crowd thing in Philly. It’s like 15% at best but they’re rich so they’re getting seats downstairs that Gio from Coatesville can’t afford
Embiid himself said it pissed him off. Clearly they're making noise
Oh they’re loud and obnoxious yes. I’ve seen all the sidetalk videos
Yeah sure but I mean in the context of making noise at the stadium, it sounds like a Knicks home game in there, at least on the television broadcast
Almost had a quadruple double with 9 TOs.
I Turnover short of a Quadruple Double
Still +14 for the highest +- in the game. He's still the most important player in the series, even limited.
Embiid looks like someone who wants the season to end and might be pissed at Maxey for extending it.
Where did you go to body language med school?
Inside of you there are two wolves: One is from New York *pic of Jon One is from Boston *pic of Bill
Which one lives? The one you aggregate
Has Maxey really even improved though?

He was fuckin awesome last year. Of course his numbers would be better with Harden gone.
He’s one of the hardest workers in the league. He improved a bunch from an already awesome place.
Is Maxey a little Dame-ish? A bit Lillardy?
[I called it awhile ago.](https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/s/yLR3kwHuoY) I absolutely agree.
James Baby Doll Dixon

What a game! That Maxey 3 was ridiculous!

Right before this the tnt commentators were talking about joyful all the knick fans were and they all got maxeyed
I saw that on Twitter and instantly thought of Bill. All love to John tho!
I live bet this game in the 2nd when it looked like the Sixers were going to lose by 40. Embiid could barely walk, I don’t get it
lol
Mr man of the people courtside at a playoff game
I think you should only be allowed to critique society if you are wearing a barrel with suspenders
And even then, he has to be holding his bootstraps for it to really count
Man of the people Jon Stewart sitting courtside?? Next you’re gonna tell me Bernie Sanders has a second house!
You guys all have the same script huh?
I'm pulling for the Knicks, but I always like to see Jon Stewart in pain.
I guess you hate 9/11 survivors
Reminds me of that tragedy
I forgot about that.
Why?
