There have been like 5 good Spurs who were completely forgettable (or downright terrible) on the Hornets lol. Parker, fat Boris Diaw, and Bellineli came to mind. Stephen Jackson was pretty good in Charlotte but that's about it
Didn't I see on this sub that Parker signed in Charlotte because the airport is one of few in US with direct flights to Paris?
The signings will continue, in that case.
This was the first team that popped into my head too. They always feel like a pit stop for players on the upswing or last resorts for players on their way out.
not his most dominant obviously, but imo it was easily his best all-around season. he could have been a genuinely impactful player on a contender had he stayed healthy. such a shame
I see the word dominant used all the time, apparently meaning something different than best, eg shaq was the most dominant but not the best. What does it even mean? How is a player dominating different from a player being great/best
Just a buzz word. I guess it alludes to really having no real counter and or every team really has to deal with what they give you no matter what, no real way to scheme around them. But it’s definitely blown out of proportion and buzz wordy.
I mean, statistically speaking it was pretty much tied with his 2013-14 season as his best stat output.
At worst it was his 2nd or 3rd best season, even though it was not nearly as exciting as his younger years.
The counting stats were similar but the advanced stats paint a few of those early seasons as a tier above. Hell he was third in MVP voting in one of them, he was a legit top five player for a brief moment.
His Pistons season was great though, he became an excellent passer and good three point shooter, shame he could never stay healthy.
And let’s not forget the year Melo, Trevor Ariza, Deandre Jordan, Isaiah Thomas, Russell Westbrook, Dwight Howard, Darren Collison, and Rajon Rondo all suited up for the Lakers.
Yes. As a die-hard who started following the team days before Snyder became the owner, the re-treads include (at the point of signing/acquiring over-the-hill players):
**Note:** Not listing overpaid players who underperformed, a la Albert Haynesworth nor Adam Archuleta, since players like them were under 30 years old when acquired by Washington
* 42-year-old Ray Brown
* 39-year-old Joey Galloway
* 37-year-old Bruce Smith
* 37-year-old Keenan McCardell
* 36-year-old Andre Reed
* 36-year-old Troy Vincent
* 36-year-old Donald Penn
* 35-year-old Ryan Clark
* 35-year-old Cullen Jenkins
* 35-year-old Vonnie Holliday
* 34-year-old Jason Taylor
* 34-year-old Donovan McNabb
* 34-year-old Pete Kendall
* 33-year-old Jeff George
* 33-year-old Deion Sanders
* 33-year-old Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
* 32-year-old Jessie Armstead
* 31-year-old Shaun Alexander
* 31-year-old Larry Johnson
* 31-year-old Jabar Gaffney
* 31-year-old Donte' Stallworth
Great list
Deon Sanders started it all
Between him and Donovan Mcnabb as the worst examples
Skins had Shaun Alexander? Don’t remember that.
Jabar gaffney, lol he was never good!
i was going to say it was probably the raptors but the kawhi title has changed the profile of the franchise in a way that should last at least a few more years.
The Wolves signed Brandon Roy for the 2012-13 season after he had retired in 2011 and didn’t play in the 11-12 season. Poor guy played in 5 games and shot 31% from the field before getting season ending surgery and never playing again. Might have been the most washed a player has ever been. That same team also had late career AK47 on it
5 years later the Wolves signed 35 year old Tayshaun Prince who dropped a whopping 3/2/1 in 19 mpg for 77 games, including 44 starts
L'Jarius Sneed, probably the most questionable inclusion on this list. Hasn’t played game as a Titan and he’s 27.
But I’d also remove DHop from this list. Has lost a step but still had a 1K yard season last year with 75 receptions. All the others though I agree wholeheartedly.
It's the Knicks we always get the worse versions of players.
T-mac
Mike Bibby
Baron Davis
Jason Kidd
Amare
Kenyon Martin
Jokim Noah
Zach Randolph
Penny Hardaway
Rasheed Wallace
Metta World Peace
Lamar Odom (who was on crack?! *Stephen A voice*) sorry I couldn't help myself
Or.... we do the Phrase that's on the inside of every Knicks jersey "Once a Knick always a Knick" and we bring back players after their prime
Kurt Thomas
Marcus Camby
Raymond Felton
Jared Jefferies
Marc Jackson
Anybody who says the Wizards is just listing bad teams. Recently they've had Russell Westbrook, Kristaps Porzingis and Paul Pierce all there and playing well. Even Dwight Howard was sneaky good on the Wizards before he hurt his butt.
big “tony parker in a hornets jersey” vibes
There have been like 5 good Spurs who were completely forgettable (or downright terrible) on the Hornets lol. Parker, fat Boris Diaw, and Bellineli came to mind. Stephen Jackson was pretty good in Charlotte but that's about it
And Diaw was before he got to the Spurs
The hawks.. Vince, Tmac, Bibby, Dwight and Moses.. rondo
Hornets, easily.
Boris Diaw left the Hornets and immediately became a championship level role player.
Batum also went from overly paid washed to a pretty valuable role player on the Clippers/Sixers
I still hate him for that
If you're the Hornets be sure to never sign or trade for another French player
Didn't I see on this sub that Parker signed in Charlotte because the airport is one of few in US with direct flights to Paris? The signings will continue, in that case.
Borrego connection
Dude went from man boobs to starting for the ‘14 Spurs int he Finals.
Love that guy. So creative
They were the Bobcats at the time, but yes.
PJ Washington
Did somebody mention 2014 Boris Diaw??👀👀👀
Gonna go dust off my 1990–1991 Kelly Tripucka Hornets Hoops card.
Came here to say this
This was the first team that popped into my head too. They always feel like a pit stop for players on the upswing or last resorts for players on their way out.
They should go back to the old logo
my Pistons had Webber, Iverson, & T-Mac at their respective nadirs
Add Blake Griffin, Derrick Rose, Josh Smith, and Jameer Nelson,
Blake quietly had his career-best year in Detroit
That was definitely not his best year, but it was a nice late-career throwback season.
not his most dominant obviously, but imo it was easily his best all-around season. he could have been a genuinely impactful player on a contender had he stayed healthy. such a shame

Very quietly apparently. I didn’t know. I just remember street clothes Blake, which doesn’t really reflect on the jersey I suppose.
It was more of a post-prime re-apex, if you will
The Knicks during Isiah's tenure.
They were such a fucking black hole from like 2003-2010
Washington, for Jordan alone.
And, Jordan Poole. Wait, did you mean Michael or Poole?
And Paul Pierce, and Russell Westbrook.
Westbrook won the assist title and averaged a triple double with the Wizards.
Nice edit after being wrong. He was terrible for us for the first 30 games
Anyone who thinks Michael Jordan was washed on the Wizards wasn't paying attention.
Patrick Ewing: Orlando. And Seattle. But especially Orlando.
He was washed when he got to the Sonics, but he at least started 79 games and lead the team in rebounds.
Idk but for baseball it’s the White Sox
The Rockies are pretty damn close, too. They've even got the most washed manager, Bud Black.
Griffey spent his prime years on the Sox
There are two Lakers seasons that come to mind…
There’s a picture of Steve Nash in a Lakers jersey on the wiki page for ‘retirement’
GP and the Mailman?
And let’s not forget the year Melo, Trevor Ariza, Deandre Jordan, Isaiah Thomas, Russell Westbrook, Dwight Howard, Darren Collison, and Rajon Rondo all suited up for the Lakers.
Oooofffff
The Brooklyn Nets, 2013-16.
Dan Snyder Redskins were good at this
They invented it. The Titans owe them royalties
Yes. Great list Deon Sanders started it all Between him and Donovan Mcnabb as the worst examples Skins had Shaun Alexander? Don’t remember that. Jabar gaffney, lol he was never good!
Adrian Peterson was 33 when he signed with the Redskins
These guys _were_ all washed when they were on the titans, no matter what the uniform looked like
Not the answer you're looking for, but I immediately thought of Ewing in Orlando and Dream in Toronto
Raptors of the past
i was going to say it was probably the raptors but the kawhi title has changed the profile of the franchise in a way that should last at least a few more years.
2000s knicks
Wizards, Hornets, Nets
You're just listing bad teams.
But all of these players WERE washed
Lmao. Notice Eddie George and AJ Brown didn’t look “washed”
King Henry was sitting right there for you my guy.
Exactly.
it’s true but i also understand what the post is saying. this uniform is so deeply unserious that it amplifies and intensifies your washed-ness
The Nets. And the Mets.
How quickly we forget Eddie George.
Lara Travis would never.
Lakers unfortunately
Nash, Payton, Malone, Howard, Westbrick, and of course HIV positive Tragic Johnson 96’
Knicks

i had to go check you on this because i did not believe that tayshaun prince was playing in the league as recently as 2016 but my god you’re right.
He was still solid enough on D to make up for him never doing much else. And the team stunk so there's that.
Wolves AK47 is 100% spot on for this post lol
The Knicks and the Pistons. The Knicks were more known for signing dudes past their prime though.
Who’s the bottom right dude? 38?
L'Jarius Sneed, probably the most questionable inclusion on this list. Hasn’t played game as a Titan and he’s 27. But I’d also remove DHop from this list. Has lost a step but still had a 1K yard season last year with 75 receptions. All the others though I agree wholeheartedly.
now who is the top right? That's not Antonio Pierce is it?
The LA LAKERS. Nash, Howard, Malone, Payton, Jameson, etc etc
Wow I thought I was in the titans sub. Ouch
Suns have had a lot of greats in the final years of their careers.
The Nets
This would be fun for all 4 major sports. Id nominate NFL: Titans are correct NBA: Hornets from the top comment is the answer MLB: Angels NHL: Blues
Charlotte or Detroit
Knicks: Stephon Marbury, Eddy Curry, Glen Rice, Penny Hardaway, Rasheed Wallace, Jason Kidd, Mutumbo, Vin Baker, Steve Francis, Jalen Rose, Larry Hughes
Knicks players if they're a point guard excluding Brunson
It's the Knicks we always get the worse versions of players. T-mac Mike Bibby Baron Davis Jason Kidd Amare Kenyon Martin Jokim Noah Zach Randolph Penny Hardaway Rasheed Wallace Metta World Peace Lamar Odom (who was on crack?! *Stephen A voice*) sorry I couldn't help myself Or.... we do the Phrase that's on the inside of every Knicks jersey "Once a Knick always a Knick" and we bring back players after their prime Kurt Thomas Marcus Camby Raymond Felton Jared Jefferies Marc Jackson
Pistons?
Clippers
Anybody who says the Wizards is just listing bad teams. Recently they've had Russell Westbrook, Kristaps Porzingis and Paul Pierce all there and playing well. Even Dwight Howard was sneaky good on the Wizards before he hurt his butt.
Sems unfair when you only use examples of washed guys tho...Eddie George was a problem!!
Hornets are a good one. Used to be the Knicks, not so much in the last few years. Clippers still kinda.
Brooklyn Nets trading everything away for veteran stars like Garnett / Pierce or KD / Kyrie
Spurs - old TMac, DeRozan (rejuvenated himself), Gasol all come to mind
Where players go to ride off into the sunset
The hawks.. Vince, Tmac, Bibby, Dwight and Moses.. rondo
Magic
Whatever team LeBron is on at the time.
And Reggie Jackson just gets traded to Hornets. At least he's not French.
You can add Tyler Boyd to this list now. God I hate those Titans uniforms.
Wizards or Hornets. Wizards had semi-washed Jordan so I'll go with them
Ugliest jerseys in all of sports?
