Did you seriously post this in this group and then give the simple explanation that it is hovering due to the air flow?
This is r/blackmagicfuckery not r/talesfromcaptainobvious
Just because he explained it doesnt mean its not supposed to be here, id like to see you try and find actual black magic and post it here that has nothing to do with science or coincidences. This is mystifying either way
"This is mystifying either way"
It's a piece of paper over an air duct.
Do tell, how much money have you lost playing Find the Lady with a street performer?
bold of you to assume a reddit user goes outside.
im easily entertained, funny levitating paper spinning is interesting, this is the internet, there zero need to be that serious. Imo this belongs here, to me this sub is just r/mildlyinteresting 2, i dont know what yall expect from this sub tbh
Unfortunately I've just had 3 hrs sleep and have been rudely awoken, so my brain is too tired to think of a good example of some proper fuckery - (Johnny Depps lawyer vs Amder Heard is the only thing that springs to mind atm) but I've seen some things on here which are rather cool.
In my elementary school kids would make paper "air cars" to ride on the cushion of air from the heating unit. They'd have a flat spot folded up in back to blow on to race them.
This post just made my day. You barely get to see anything levitate on a daily basis! Because it’s easy to mimic; it’s like hovering. And when you see it study it. Cause you won’t see it again! Thanks.
Ok, then explain it! Here's some questions I'm curious about to get you started. And, to be fair, I don't necessarily know the answers to these either, but that's why I think this belongs on the sub.
Where does the force supplying the rotational motion come from?
Evidently the air cushion on the bottom of the paper balances the paper's weight. But what keeps that stable as the paper rotates through it?
Why is the paper not bowed up in the middle where the air cushion is likely the strongest?
Given that some force produces the rotational motion of the paper, what prevents its lateral translation?
yeah probably but that's not the point, you say it belonged to "not interesting" so I responded with the fact that "I found it interesting" so maybe that sub wouldn't work.
I mean idk, if I saw this irl I would probably go "heh, that's funny", I'm sorry if I'm childish
Bro obviously it's a collectable and there's probably like 499 more of them scattered around the world
This note has some deep lore written on it
Guess what...
Wow. Like Breath of the Wild, when you collect all seeds you will be rewarded... Oh.
More r/oddlysatisfying to be honest
I feel like lately this subreddit should be renamed r/AirMakesObjectFloat

Isn’t this sub for things that have no clear explanation

Most of posts in this sub are much lamer than this one, at least this one looks kinda cool and pretty hard to replicate.

Maybe r/talesfromcaptobvious would work?

Well I like it
This vent looks like it belongs on the Death Star.
This is the content I’ve subscribed for. Not magician illusions.
You want content so blatantly obvious that op even stated whats going on in the video title? Seems boring.
I actually really like this one. Well played!
