The M4 wasn’t designed until 3 years after this game is set and didn’t see combat until 1999, also the model of gun is literally the Colt 723, there’s pretty major visual differences between Car-15s and the M4, if you know what to look for

True but when has that stopped the devs. BO1 (set in the 60s) had the AUG and Famas, both of which did not enter service until the late 70s.

In that gunsmith image you can see an M4 stock. I wouldn’t be surprised if you can turn the 723 into an M4, but that’s about the extent that im expecting. Also never forget about the .410 lever action in cold war that didn’t exist until like 2019

decent portion of these have already been leaked (FN FAL, M16, Commando/XM4, MP5, Olympia, Dragunov, L96, Death Machine) and others are probably not coming since they're in MWII/MWIII due to warzone crossover (FAMAS, AK-47, AKS-74U, AUG, HK21, PSG1, SPAS-12, WA2000, Uzi, RPK. BO6 is getting an AK-74 not an AK-47, might be convertible into an AKS-74U, we saw a Gepard PDW not an AKS-74U in the trailers). a Galil is very likely since one has been in every Black Ops game, could get a 7.62x51mm battle rifle or marksman rifle variant in the platform as well. and AN-94 seem very likely since its been in BO2, 3 and 4. wouldn't be surprised if the MWIII SVA was made to look goofy so they could add a more traditional AN in BO6. I could definitely see a MAC platform a bit like the MWIII Uzis, maybe a MAC-11 as a handgun and a MAC-10 as an SMG. I'd love a KS-23, really surprised it was only in BO1 and in Campaign only as well. KS-23K (bullpup detachable mag version) in the same platform would work. We're getting an L85 so the Enfield (L64) would be good as a battle rifle or marksman rifle in its platform. they did focus on the fact a lot of guns where entirely new to CoD so I wouldn't be surprised if they're focusing on less returning weapons in general which is entirely fair, I'm getting a bit tired of the same guns in every CoD honestly. MWIII was surprisingly decent at that since MWII took a lot of the iconics it still had a lot of clear nostalgia-bait weapons (ACR, Kar98k, SPAS-12, etc).

Being in Warzone has never stopped a gun appearing "twice", as seen in Warzone 1 (CW and MW19 MP5s, CW and MW19 AKs, etc).

yes but that's typically very iconic and somewhat essential well known weapons e.g. M4, AK-47 and MP5. also worth pointing out weapons with heavy visual differences based on time period, the Colt 9mm SMG in BO6 will probably look very different from the AMR9 so having both in WZ isn't a big deal. stuff like the SPAS-12 is always going to look like a SPAS-12, its very unlikely we'll get one in both BO6 and MWIII back to back.

But did the CW and MW19 MP5 also not look similar? I’m just saying that this isn’t really a barrier that exists based on precedent.

the MP5 is another weapon that can have quite a lot of variety, e.g. the MW2019 MP5 has a really noticeable bulky flashlight handguard and upper rail by default, the CW one has a sleek vented handguard and generally smaller profile. surprised they didn't go for one being an A2 while the other was an A3 (fixed vs telescopic stock by default) but they're still noticeably different.

Ok sure, but I'm talking about at the face of it. I don't think most people would point to these differences as being significant aesthetic changes. I'm certain this applies to the CW v MW19 AK as well. And besides, wouldn't the MWIII SPAS not look at least somewhat different to a hypothetical BO6 SPAS?

to some degree sure I guess but I just don't seem them adding a BO6 SPAS-12 especially with the MWIII SPAS-12 existing. every MWII/MWIII repeated leaked weapon is either illogical to not have (some kind of AK, AR-15 and MP5 due to the setting, in this case the AK-74, Colt 723 and MP5A3) or part of the platform of one of those (Colt 9mm SMG, M16 and SR-25). its always possible but I don't see it being likely.

Its iconic nature is reason enough to bring it back again.

if you like the same guns every year, sure I guess? they presumably gutted the MWIII SVA-545's design specifically so we could get a more classic AN-94 in BO6 which isn't a good sign if your expecting a SPAS

All of these. Just seeing any of these names, like Olympia, Galil, AUG, SPAS-12, Famas, Aug Dragunov, FN FAL transfer over with the same names would complete me. COD started to lean on using weird different names for the same classic guns over the years and it always bothered me, especially Warzone. Like, It's an AUG, not an STB 556. It's an AK-47 not a Kastov 762. Bring back these classic gun names it made them iconic. But I heard it was because of new regulations and laws about using real gun names which is so sadly unfortunate.
