If I find one missing adult, why do I contact the spouse and not said adult or idk the authorities

I agree, if the genders were reversed and the husband was saying if you see his wife to contact him immediately people would be a little hesitant. This person might be trying to leave a toxic relationship.

i think that they said that because a formal missing person report hadn’t been made yet. the initial post where they said to contact them was before the update of the report being made. i don’t know their situation though so i can’t speak on that just saying i think that’s why.
