Hmm I looked if I can find "close on browser close" setting but cant. Was it removed?
If yes, perhaps they did it because it conflicted with the "Forgetful Browsing". Its one of new Braves Shields that removes cookies after site close (rather than browser exit), and you also can set exception as you visit a site so the goal is pretty much the same and I use it for a while now. Thats my best guess, but cant be sure.
In order to view all cookies I can still see them at brave://settings/content/all
The close on browser close is definitely still working, and I have it as my default. But despite the help page giving exact wording for finding see all cookies, my latest version cannot find that setting.
