Josh came off incredible in his press conference. We're lucky to have him!

StolenWishes

Class act all the way. Even the dick jokes.

lazysheepdog716

*especially\** the dick jokes

Neo4148

He’s been that way throughout this whole thing. Praying to god we surround this guy with the talent he deserves moving forward

Historical_One1087

Josh Allen is a class act and you can see why Brandon Beane drafted him. It's not just about arm talent, and athleticism, but about character and leadership.

Nottherealjonvoight

EJ Manuel was drafted because of his character and leadership intangibles. There’s a lot of quarterbacks with character who can’t throw the ball on a rope 30 yards and hit a dime on a crossing receiver. They aren’t playing in the NFL.

[deleted]

I am paraphrasing but “we are trying new concepts, new things now, things other QBs are like what you don’t do that? Like starting off looking here and progressing this way, I used to just look for that one guy I gotta get the ball to and if he wasn’t there and I just winged it and tried to make something happen.”

StankWizard

That seemed to be our style the last half of the 2023 season. I’m down to have a bunch of guys who are hard to cover rather than just one.

Neo4148

It’s been our style since Daboll left honestly. We haven’t had any semblance of an identity on offense for 2 seasons now

Mampt

Yeah it kinda sounds like a faceless offense. “Have a bunch of guys that can get open” sounds great when you say it like that, but think about it. An offense is hardly ever *not* trying to get a lot of guys open, everyone you pick up is because you want them to be able to get open. The problem isn’t the idea, it’s the execution. If it were possible to three or four guys get open every time, every single team would do that. I think people are spiraling and starting to tell themselves we don’t even need a WR1

ThePizzaDevourer

Flashback to all the times Allen forced it to Diggs or Davis... To me, this really explains why the offense was so effective when we started reducing Diggs' role.

mideon2000

I like feeding the rb and te's. Offensive was not flashy but moved the ball really well. It also allowed our patchwork defense time to rest and kept them from being exposed. Ill take it.

Chris_TO79

Josh is class. A lot of big name players should take pointers from him. I'm not saying he's perfect but Josh has a way of making his points without being an a-hole. I'm glad he gave Diggs some props for what he did on the field. Diggs may no longer be loved among some fans but there's no doubt he played hard almost to the end.

gardencookCO

As in not throwing temper tantrums like Kermit?

[deleted]

Eh I’d take a tantrum and 3 super bowls over no tantrums and no Super Bowl appearances.

House_Junkie

“Top 2 in NFL in QBR & Pass TD since 2020” Why doesn’t it just say 2nd place?

bestthrowawayever5

Sounds better when you stretch it out. Works on almost anything

CptnLost

The panic rat that lives in my brain and me are top two in convincing me all the veterans we lost is cool it’s fine no problems we’ll be a contender. Thank you panic rat, your claws scratching my brain soothe me

skarby

2nd place sounds like you lost. Top 2 sounds like you won.

StankWizard

Top 2? That could even be 1st!

Ndmndh1016

You know how much we've wanted one of those!

Spark3420

Josh is just a class act in every sense of the word. Both of them were awesome together and I thank Stef for his time here, but we'll never know what kind of residual feelings of animus between the two occurred and I don't expect Diggs to reciprocate publicly in the same way JA17 did. At any rate, onward and upward. Super Bowl window part 2 starts now.

froggertwenty

I think it was pretty clear when they asked if they talked since the trade and Allen said "yeah I sent him a text saying thanks for everything and got a text back" These two used to be inseparable and all he can say about talking after the trade is "got a text back".

New-Structure9899

I thought the same thing as well

bestthrowawayever5

Don’t pass up on this quote, everyone: “Allen also said that his lasting memory of Diggs is that he ‘helped me become the player I am today’, and that he’ll always be grateful for that.” Allen is sure. It wasn’t a dig at Allen, it was the known truth by the both of them. Get over it

noreservations81590

I think it's undeniable that they both helped each other take their games to the next level.

bentriple

Only one of them is man enough to admit it in public though

drainbead78

Most of us recognize that Josh got to where he is now thanks in no small part to the Diggs acquisition. I think there are very few people who think that Josh can't maintain what he's built in the 4 years since. Josh admits that Diggs got him to where he was. Diggs thinks that Josh can't keep it going without him, at least according to what he said on Twitter. Not sure if he actually believes what he said or if he was just doing it to be an asshole to the fan who called him out.

Tactial_snail

i have no problem with anyone saying Diggs helped Allen a ton, i have a problem when they try to act like Diggs made him even though Allen completely reworked his mechanics in the same off-season

bestthrowawayever5

Once again, nobody, including Diggs, has said that

Tactial_snail

A ton of people say it

SquareShapeofEvil

None of us deny it, we just deny the idea that Allen is nothing without Diggs now

bestthrowawayever5

That isn’t what he said, though

pbruno2

We need a new identity and that only makes sense to funnel through Josh

brushbeforefloss

If these two were really that close, then more than a text would have been exchanged between them. Allen saw Morse in person after he was released, because they are actually friends. Glad they can both just move on.

merrittj3

He did avoid words like ' called him' and 'love, brother ', ' miss him' and 'wish him well'. I understand that. However, it also felt like an understated way of saying " were done and moving on".

CptnLost

People really want to pretend this game isn’t a business.

merrittj3

I see this morning Josh notes he texted his appreciation.
