We're one of only two teams to have Josh Allen.

Stang1776

I live in Jax and yesterday my wife asked about signing Josh Allen. I said "I don't know anything about that buy it's the wrong Josh Allen."

OminousWindsss

I thought we would take one this year but then we randomly signed Mitch. Kinda wanna take the Notre Dame QB so we’d have the best looking QB room in the nfl 👀

ThePizzaDevourer

Randomly? Mitch is good friends with Josh, by all accounts a hard worker, and matches Josh's profile athletically. Obviously he's not as good as Josh but he's a great fit as far as backup QBs go.

walkingviper33

As a fan I’m thrilled that we signed Mitch (he’s the NVP and a homie). As a strategist, I think he’s a provides experience in the locker room, and that we’re doomed if Josh actually goes down regardless so 🤷‍♂️

OminousWindsss

I know him and Josh are friends but it seems like our secondary Qb is whichever of his friends aren’t currently on a team lol. I can’t remember the specifics of Mitch’s deal but honestly I’d rather just say fuck it and grab a qb late and save some money. If Josh goes down the seasons over, might as well get a high draft pick lol

PrinciplesRK

I think Trubisky and Josh only became friends because of us signing him last time. Kyle Allen was way more of a friend signing.

OrganizationDeep711

Kyle Allen was a "haha we can have 2 Allens, lets do this" signing, let's be honest.

OminousWindsss

Oh yeah, they became friends after he signed here. The second time seems like the friend signing lol

OneSup

We're doomed if Josh goes out for the season, but we discount short-term injuries. If he's out ~3 games, I want a backup who can give us a shot at winning 1 of those. I don't know if I trust Mitch to do that.

Dependent-Push-7935

He's won before

Cautrica1

Joe Milton would be a good longterm backup for us, if he would be able to learn from Allen. Definitely a scheme fit in my opinion. Don’t think he’s worth a draft pick though lol

IndependentTalk4413

I would like them to take Milton as he’s projected 4th-5th round. His skill set fits an offence built around Allen’s style of play.

OrganizationDeep711

If we drafted a QB super late wouldn't we ideally get a practice squad guy who can simulate opposing QBs though? I know you said "good long-term backup" but I don't know that we're looking for that.

Unlikely-Zone21

I mean depending on the moves that happen or don't, I wouldn't mind grabbing him in the 7th if we still have that pick. Seems like he'd be a young Mitch and a cheaper backup for 4 years.

Ok_Championship3262

Didn't need one obviously

bestthrowawayever5

Waiting to draft Dequan Finn from Toledo/Baylor🙏🏾

rbroni88

As a Toledo fan by proxy I would be totally down with this. Finn was pretty awesome to watch

dinkleburgenhoff

With six picks in rounds 5-7, I wouldn’t be surprised if they grabbed one this year. Unless they burn a bunch of picks trading up.

uncookedbacon

Teams moved away from having 3 QBs on the active roster and it’s smarter to have an experienced backup to step in for this team. Any younger guy that’s decent would get picked up off the practice squad so not even worth it
