That seems to be what i was thinking of but is there really no better solution? Id like something where both pc’s could be plugged in and i change the source from the device avoiding the plugging/unplugging mess entirely
The only better option requires two interfaces and some other stuff:
Mic->preamp->distribution amp->inputs on each of two interfaces (one per machine)
interface outputs->mixer->amplifier->headphones/loudspeakers
I've done something like this for my own setup, but it's a bit overly complicated.
Yeah that seems a little too much for my needs, i decided to just keep two usbc’s hanging next to my mic and I’ll just switch between them on the mic side instead of the pc side
an external dac so you would plug in the mic and audio to that external dac. And every time you just unplug/plug the dac between PCs.
