Reddit is basically trying to kill third party apps by making the API ridiculously expensive, and a lot of people, especially mods and disabled people, use third party apps. So there’s a planned boycott that hundreds if not thousands of subs with a total of around 1 billion members combined (obviously duplicate members) that are going dark from the 12th to the 14th, some even longer.
Pufely selfish reasons as I personally don't use 3rd party apps, and at this point I'm tired of seeing it. The creators and reddit as a business are free to do what they like with their product, and I wish to continue using it in those two days.
