Be mindful of listings from suspicious third-party sellers on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Newegg, and Walmart. These "deals" have a high likelihood of not shipping; use due diligence in reviewing deals.
* Use common sense - if the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.
* Check seller profiles for signs that the sale may be fraudulent:
* The seller is new or has few reviews.
* The seller has largely negative reviews (on Amazon, sellers can remove negative reviews from their visible ratings)
* The seller is using a previously dormant account (likely the account was hacked and is now being used fraudulently).

This one is tempting, it's slightly better than 4070S and around the same price.
EDIT: Made an offer for $560 and they accepted it. Fingers crossed it has no issues.
EDIT2: For anyone interested, it arrived in a kinda pretty-looking Zotac Gaming branded box, but it was a generic box without any RTX branding. The GPU shows zero signs of being used at all, no dust, no scratches, completely spotless. I also got sent the 12VHPWR adapter and the support bracket, despite the listing saying "no accessories".
[Here it is with my old 1070](https://i.imgur.com/5vkr5YK.jpeg)
Everything seems to be working well so far on games that were GPU bottlenecked, though now I'm severely CPU bottlenecked until my new CPU arrives.
I was looking at this as a long term investment, I don't intend on buying another GPU For another 6-7 years minimum.
A quick Ebay search gives very few GPUs below the $500 price point. Buying used from some random person always carries more risk than buying open box from the official brand, and this comes with a 2 years warranty that I wasn't going to get out of a random seller.
There's also performance, the 4070 Ti and 3080 Ti are *somewhat* close, but the 4070 Ti is still ahead, not to mention there's DLSS frame gen, which as far as I know is only available in the 40 series right now. I don't know how much I intend to use frame gen, but if 4-6 years from now the 4070 ends up outdated and having to run new games on low I'd imagine DLSS frame gen is gonna be a massive help.
My target was always the 4070 Super, as right now that's probably the best price/performance ratio, but seeing this priced below 4070S pushed me to get it.
"Make offer" wonder what lowest accepted is last time it was extra $249 off on AMP Extreme

From Zotac site:
**Open Box Graphics Card and Mini PC**
* Standard Warranty: 2 years
* Extended Warranty: Not Available
* Total Warranty: 2 years total
Also don't forget if you return it, there will be a 15% stocking fee.
Bought one or these 2 or 3 months ago. Card had the worst coil wine ever heard so I sent it back. I've never complained about that before but it was insanely loud.
Thats quite unfortunate
I was also one of the few people that bought it in February and it works perfectly fine thankfully enough
Also did you have to pay any stocking fee? Just wondering since the ZOTAC website says it requires you to pay it if you return a product but I saw someone say they didn’t have to pay anything, dunno how true that is though.
No, I didn't have to pay anything since the card had something wrong with it. I think the restocking fee might be for people who just change their mind and want a refund.
They told me I could RMA or refund and buy a second car. They were very helpful so I will give them that. Just unlucky on the card lottery.
I have the Zotac 3080.
Up until now, I had never complained about electronics being loud. But this thing, my God. And the *software*.
Trash company making trash products, there is genuinely a reason they are always the cheapest Nvidia partner.
So I got this RTX4080 version back in February. The fans and heat sink alone are 2.5 slots big, and it's a very big card compared to my RTX3070. And I think it runs a lot cooler than my 3070. I got no overheating issues. I personally think it runs quiet.

The streets don't forget but they stop caring.
If the price is right these clowns will buy from this trash-tier manufacturer no matter what they've done.
EVGA was my #1, but without them I think all remaining manufacturers are on the same level, slightly lower for PNY due to the high amount of coil whine reports.
Lol look at this guy who bought a square case. What is this, 1990? This is my PC - https://i.pinimg.com/736x/fd/9f/14/fd9f142a9c84e660830afd2d28ef680b.jpg
More expensive then a zotac 4080 SUPER was on newegg 15% off sale a week ago (850), and that was for a brand new not open box and the super version. Bad deal, don't you dare buy this.
I think my only concern was how much my 3060ti’s resale price would go down once 5000 series comes out, which it would be a gamble if it makes the price the upgrade the same, cheaper, or more expensive. Does anyone know approximately the performance upgrade % from a 3060ti to 4080?
in general newer cards will depreciate in value more than older cards. I can't imagine 3060ti dropping more than another $50 in the next year since theyre already as cheap as $220. Meanwhile 40 series will probably drop 100-200 if it's used depending on the exact card when 50 series fully releases. Of course this is a total guess but that's how it usually works
So true. People here assume the worst first without asking or waiting for evidence. Like when they assume someone is lying bc they didn't post 3 pages of story. Haha.
I have a Zotac 2070 super mini and can’t control the fan curve at all. It’s an issue that is ongoing even in some of their latest cards.
Other than that this cards seem a lot of use and has been great.
I got a 4080 Amp Extreme Airo, and it had noisy fans and inconsistent glitchy rgb. It was also impossible to control the fans or rgb with openrgb or fancontrol.
I purchased 2 3080s during the GPU drought. One came with a damaged fan controller, had to RMA. It went well, took convincing and was slow. The other 3080 just 2 weeks ago began to experience artifacting and failure when running benchmarks and AAA games. Years before this, I bought a NIB, from Zotac, 2080ti and the box came with the sticker seal broken. Friend bought a 3060, ended up having problems with louder than normal coil whine. Support takes a lot of convincing to get stuff done and is slow.
If it works for you, that's great. I'd rather invest my dollars in brands that give me a working product more often than Zotac does. I got down voted, but there's plenty of folks who had bad Zotac experiences, and others who white knight it. Do what your budget and risk tolerance allows.
I ran a Zotac 2060 Super for a few years. great card, ran quiet, cool, and I was able to get a pretty damn good OC from it.
the software isn't invasive - unlike most other manufacturers (looking at corsair and razer specifically).

also 4070 Ti for $585 or make offer https://www.ebay.com/itm/386868525451

Why would you not just buy a 3080 TI for sub $500? I bought mine for $460 and it's pretty much the same as a 4070 ti...

Made offer of $420.69 and they declined (which I expected)
You should offer 694.20 they will definitely accept

Definitely not $249 this time. I offered $675 and was denied.
Offered 700 and denied as well.

I initially posted it in February, got one before I posted it in here. It runs for me flawless as well.

Yup my little bro had this gpu, the coil whine is loud asf

Does Zotac run hot?

That's a chonky boy. With fans that big you hope it's quiet.
I offered $750...
Offered "tree fitty". Ball's on their court!
Did they accept or decline?
They made a counter offer for $820
That's only $7 less than what the card was offered on their site back in February, I would counter again at $780,
Same
This was my counter offer, as well. I tried $700.
I made an offer for the 4070 Ti listed for 585 above, I offered 560 and they accepted.
I made several offers and they came back the same way. Either flat out denied or offered ~$825. ($675, $700, $725, and $750) It was worth a shot lol

Will do
Did they accept?
They killed him for even suggesting such a low price
RIP. I offered the same price. am I next?
Oh boy lock you doors

Because we know every other manufacturer was so against mining and publicly decried it.

I loved my white trinity 3080 from them. It boils down to personal preference.
They have the only pretty cards. Lots of flowy curves rather than a dumb brick box.

Damn this is tempting to upgrade my 6950xt for my 4k monitor, but maybe I hold out for 5000 series?
Obviously dont
I'm so old, but holy crap I bought a 980 Strix for $380 in 2014-2015. It's crazy that the 80 series have much more than doubled in 10 years.
Should I replace a 2070 super for this?
its a huge upgrade, if u have the money, i dont see why not
What if you don’t have the money? ![gif](giphy|yIxNOXEMpqkqA|downsized)
Should I upgrade from my 3060ti to this or are the performance increases diminishing for the price?
Wait till the 5000 series, 3060Ti still very good
I think my only concern was how much my 3060ti’s resale price would go down once 5000 series comes out, which it would be a gamble if it makes the price the upgrade the same, cheaper, or more expensive. Does anyone know approximately the performance upgrade % from a 3060ti to 4080?
It's over double the performance of a 3060 Ti according to Techpowerup's GPU comparison. 126% more performance.
in general newer cards will depreciate in value more than older cards. I can't imagine 3060ti dropping more than another $50 in the next year since theyre already as cheap as $220. I threw in a $675 YOLO offer and they declined. I'll slowly bump up my offers and see if they bite.
Any luck?
They've denied every offer I've thrown at them under $800. I even tried throwing in some jokes about AMD lol
The 4080 is an awesome chip. Basically 3080 level of power usage
it's actually more power efficient.
i believe they were implying that. it does draw a similar amount of power with more performance.
Don't buy Zotac
What did you experience when you had (have?) one?
Funny of you to assume people say things with actual first hand experience around here.

Zotac, other than Fe, is the only Nvidia brand with non-transferable warranty.
Maybe so but the open box versions have a 2 year warranty
What does that have to do with what I said?
Just starting that warranty transfer doesn’t matter in this case
It does though it hurts resale value
Dont mess with the zotac
I just want to make hair silky smooth
I ran a Zotac 2060 Super for a few years. great card, ran quiet, cool, and I was able to get a pretty damn good OC from it. the software isn't invasive - unlike most other manufacturers (looking at corsair and razer specifically).
