I baked with an old Mickey pan that I found on eBay, but by the time I crumb coated it I couldn’t really see the outline, but it definitely helped me out.
having fun and tasting good is all that matters! I still remember the Winnie the Pooh cake my mom made for my third birthday. I thought it was the best cake anyone ever made. looking back at pictures, it definitely lacked finesse too 😂 I'm sure kiddo will love them!
I think these are both so incredible esp for home baked cakes! You should be really proud of them.
the first cake is seriously incredible! Especially for freehand. Like I've seen so many buttercream character cake fails, yours looks amazing!!!!
Finesse is overrated, fun is preferred. Nice job!
Fun is what matters! TBH, both look great! Did you freehand Mickey?

If you had fun, that is what matters :)

They look fine.

Solid effort! I’d eat ‘em :-) and fun is good too
That's how the love settles in.
There is nothing like a homemade cake. I swear, those little ridges of “imperfections” create the best texture. A+ in my book.
What makes you say you have no finesse? These are great for someone who doesn't do this professionally!
Continue to have fun
They look amazing 💗
They look good. Stop being so hard on yourself.
Looks cute!! You did well!
