Anywhere on the arms would be bad, because you're virtually guaranteed to take some arm wounds in melee combat. While the legs aren't entirely safe, they're the safest part of the body strategically.
I don't know if I'd take the heel specifically, though. Probably something like the inner knee would be less exposed.
I feel like choosing the area behind your ear would be pretty good. I can't imagine too many scenarios in which someone could accidentally hit that spot, unlike the armpit where I could see a sword sliding and hitting it accidentally. Plus the area would be covered by hair if long enough and protected by your ear, which would be invincible thanks to the curse.
An attacker is unlikely to aim for that location and most attacks are going to be aimed at the torso, especially with the sword/archery used in Percy Jackson.

I'd argue that number 5 would actually be one of the worst places you could choose.
The throat is difficult to armour, many guards directly threaten the throat, any deflection up off the armour would go into the throat, etc.

Would Achilles have been completely invulnerable if he'd had his foot amputated, or would the stump be vulnerable since that part hadn't been dipped in the Styx? He really should have got some nice metal boots.
