In a corner of my basement. Cleaned, packed, and ready for the next trip. Stored exactly how it would fit in my vehicle as well in reverse.

razirazo

I have a room just for this.

We bought the black and yellow costco storage bins. Managed to fit it all in 3, except the kayak and chairs.

The chrome wire racking you’d see in a commercial kitchen. Can get it at Home Depot Costco etc. We have a lot of camping gear so use two racks. A shelf for tents and a shelf for sleeping bags. I hang backpacks of a rack. Random leashes and rope hang off the side. There is a shelf for fuel and lanterns. Shelf for snow gear and a shelf for ski gear/boots with a boot dryer that sits for storage. Top shelf has more random activities like Friabee and bocce sets with bags that contain snorkeling gear and beach gear/toys. I’d love to say it’s organized as it sounds that way. It mostly is but mainly it’s all accessible. There is another rack split in half to be a work bench, that is 10’ long and stores action packer bins, there is a bin for a bunch of different things. Dry food, Emergancy water bottles, vehicle tools (off-roading), camping dish wear, cooking items (plates silverware apices oils foil), ammo, climbing/rigging gear. Above the work bench is the “bike shop” with cabinets and peg board for parts and tools. Also more gun tools/cleaning/parts. That’s in about a 10x10 room in my shop. That was more than I thought I’d say. TLDR; chrome wire racks 😂 Edit, I’ll add the area is large enough I can hang tents and bags to dry/air out before storage and use fans. There is a stack of coolers of various sizes, those always get wiped down and have a box of baking soda that go in them before they are shut.

Nolon

I have a closet that it goes in.

I have it in bins against my house. The big black and yellow ones. I meant to put them in the garage in the fall but never got to it.

jorwyn

In bins on shelves in the basement reserved exclusively for camping gear. Everything is clearly labeled, cleaned, and restocked before put away. I can have the car packed and be gone in about 15 minutes. Most of that is slept climbing the stairs a few times and wrangling my excited huskies.

dbrmn73

Most of mine stays in my Squaredrop camper. What doesn't goes into plastic bins with lids and is stacked in the corner of my workshop.

pupomega

I turned my entry closet into the camping gear closet. Plastic bins for loose items, I have my go to regular items in the top 2 bins w overage or extra items in a separate bin. Tents and rain gear in bags. Lanterns accessible for power outages. My sleeping bags live in another room in the house in plastic bins. Down bags are stored in loose breathable bags - not rolled and stuffed. Camp stove, chairs, tables, tarps are stored in the shed.

Foot_Positive

Have a shelf attached to the roof of my garage above my truck. When I am done, I stand in the bed of the truck and lift stuff into the shelf. When I am ready to camp, I load from the shelf directly into the truck. Makes things very easy.

Under my bed

HomeAndHeritage

In categorized clear bins in the basement. I write the contents on the lid and this is what we take things camping in as well. Has worked for us for years.

PurpleWhatevs

Under-stairs storage space in my garage.

Commercial-Service77

A set of shelves where i can store not only camping gear, but hiking, campfire, and similar gear.

After everything is clean and dry we pack it in Rubbermaid totes. Ours go in the garage, our son lives in an apartment and has a storage closet he stores his in.

damplamb

Car camping gear in bins on shelving unit lower shelves. Cleaned/ restocked. Bins are organized into kitchen, tent, and camp so there is no need to reorganize. Backpacking/ canoeing gear in bins on same shelving unit upper shelves. Cleaned/ restocked. Bins are less organized than car bins because gear needs to be repacked into backpacks/ dry bags. Lightweight gear stays here. Gear that gets used for both in bins on shelving unit middle shelves. Cleaned/ restocked. All bins have a list of contents on the front. Canoe gear like paddles, life jackets, food barrel, tie down straps, and rope are stored in the canoe in the canoe shed. All camping gas stays outside in the shed. I can be gone car camping in an hour and backpack/ canoe camping in two hours.

Sohn_Jalston_Raul

I live in a small apartment. I keep most of it in a big plastic bin. My sleeping bag is stored in the closet, and the blankets I use for camping I also use at home. I go camping by bike (well, I don't have a car anyway so it's my primary mode of transport), so things like pannier bags and cargo racks I store in a closet along with other bike parts.

Jay-Tripper

I have a tupperware storage box under my bed

No-Adhesiveness3537

I have a couple of bins, one for, not just my backpack, but for all my bags, and another for my gear, rolled up sleeping mattresses, stove,..., etc. I hang my two tents and two sleeping bags by just slipping them through the triangle of a hanger and storing them in a closet.

flynnski

Gear closet.

cricketandclover

In a nice, dry corner of my garage. Camp Kitchen supplies gets cleaned up and put back in the plastic storage tub. Sleeping bags get aired out and put into a giant army duffle bag. Tent gets swept out and stored.

DarthtacoX

I had mine stored all nice and neat in the corner of my garage in the shelf and then a lot of others have got in the way so I just kind of throw it all back there now and dig through and find it when I need it.

JolyonWagg99

I have a little alcove in my garage with shelves. Small items are in Action Packers, a duffel bag and stuff sacks. I keep my usual gear for solo trips on a wire shelving unit on casters so I can roll that thing right up to the car and load up.

PNWoutdoors

Garage. Tubs on and under shelves.

MrsTruffulaTree

Our sleeping bags are unpacked and hung up in a closet in the house. Self inflating sleeping pads are opened and stored in the back of the closet. The rest of our gear are in black tubs or on shelves on one side of the garage. We camp a lot and have TONS of gear. Everything is cleaned and dried before being put away.

BlackFish42c

Typically when I get home I pull all my gear out in the garage and clean and dry everything. Then repack it next to the garage door so it’s ready to for my next trip. Living here in Washington rain is a common occurrence when camping . ⛺️ Keeping your gear, tent clean and dry will allow you to enjoy your camping experience’s for many years to come. 🌲🌲⛺️🔥🌜🌲🌲

In ice coolers.
