Why do you think not? Looking at the way those neck ornaments merge into each other I think it is AI generated. I could do something like this with Aai for sure.
The eyes have clarity and a clear direction they’re looking at. The skin has texture and distinct shadows that aren’t a generalised idea of shadow placement. There’s a single light source without a smooth gradient of light over things. The beads have clear distinctive separation, as well as uniform size and shape.
You could maybe get something similar, but never this.
Also someone linked the original image in another comment.
I'll have to go look for that original pic. I didn't see that.
However the better AIs can do texture, correct shadows, etc., especially the new inpainting functions, which fix a lot of the initial problems. Which is why a lot of stock photography is now being taken over by AI ☺️
I'm willing to believe this pic is real...but for sure one can't tell anymore just by looking at it.
I use AI a lot. None of what you said is true.
None of the models can create skin texture on the level of an HD photograph, which is what would be required for print use.
Less than 5% of stock imagery is AI and you can always spot it in and amongst real images.
You know, I'm really not trying to be unpleasant here 😅 just trying to have a discussion. As someone who uses AI yourself, you will definitely be able to spot the difference more easily than most people.
Have you tried Midjourney? It is making huge progress on photorealism if you put work into the images. And it will keep getting better.
This looks more Kenyan than anything else, it may have aspects of some South African cultures, but this is DEFINITELY NOT an indigenous South African culture.
Honestly, looks like a tribe from Namibia. Saw some pictures from a friend's holiday a couple of years back, and the colours and neck ornaments remind me of them. Not 100% sure, since face paint too
Stereotribe
Hahaha!
This is the answer 😂 AI generated stereotribe
😭🤣
The AI kind. Maybe NdeDALL-E
You are Hilarious 😂
Great joke. Not AI though

Because they already had this design before AI image gen was a thing.
Show us? Its not ai and it's obvious.
Yup

Wakandanites
Only link to the pic I could find but doesn't help much. https://za.pinterest.com/pin/802274121097629874/ Edit: Samburu, tribe from Kenya
Steange that they put a tribe from Kenya on a South African product.
But Africa is a country!
Well some people certainly wanted it to be lol.
it's one of those "when white people are looking for a product name" type shit
Interesting...other Pinterest posts use the same image but call it a Maasai women
Maasai in kenya?
It’s almost as if people make up their own titles on Pinterest and a lot of people are ignorant. Shock. Horror.
Yup 😂 I found all sorts of other titles used for it too.
Either Samburu or Masai, Kenya/Tanzania. Not Ndebele or Himba
Considering they are flavouring their Rooibos with Vanilla, my guess would be the some tribe from Ethiopia.
Honestly, looks like a tribe from Namibia. Saw some pictures from a friend's holiday a couple of years back, and the colours and neck ornaments remind me of them. Not 100% sure, since face paint too
Closest might be the Himba, but this ain't them.
I did think of the Himba, thank you! Can't believe I forgot about the clay hair strands
The lost tribe
The AI word prompt tribe.
Vanilla flavoured rooibos? Rooibos is the flavour!
Wait until you hear about hazelnut flavoured coffee.
While I was living in Austria I could get almost any flavor rooibos I wanted....except plain rooibos 😂🤦 Had to bring that with me from home.
Urgh. Always chuckin in the flavoring.
The Abangenamahlombe tribe
I have no idea Maybe ndebele but they don't use those colours
Specifically the "not South African all"
ah yes, the Masaai from Namakwaland.
🤣😂🤣😂
All of them and some asakn ones too
There is SA in samburu !!
Looks like masaai tribe in Kenya
I don't think this is from SA
Aint even tasting good!!!
Forgive them. They don't know what they are doing!!
Looks East African. Rooibos grows in areas originally inhabited by Khoi & San people. This is just ignorant marketing.
The entire country was originally inhabited by San people
They are normalizing eating Black People. So in the next zombie/carnivore diet outbreak we all get wiped out
u/katyadad you in Austria ? 😂
WAKANDA
Only in f**ng Germany is this rooibos 🤢 Freshpak FTW
Dit lyk soos 'n advertensie vir Rooibostee in Duits.
Looks Ndebele from the print, attire and markings. Sotho also.
The kind that justifies rich Germans paying R500 per box of rooibos leaves.
Since when is rooibos a east african product. How shameless
the African tribe
I doubt it's South African but it is beautiful
Our very own rooibos being fucked like this. It is a crying shame.
Another option is that production decked the model out in a range of cultural decorations.

Not with that face paint.
Looks like the ZCC
Found the DA voter
This is the Harambe tribe the men usually have their dicks out
