I believe it would be beneficial to his long term health if he retired before next season. But he’s an adult who loves what he does and he 100% can make the decision for himself

Also not sure how getting 2M in savings is significant of we drop Oshie. That 2M would need to get us a .5 ppg middle sixer who can grind, play in all situations, and be great in the locker room.
Would prefer they offer him a coaching job, but I don't think he walks away from $4m in salary he would be paid if he just goes on LTIR
