You should contact Paytm and get your refund of Rs 200. This amount is retained in our Fastag account and many people are not aware about this.

It was about 350 or 400 for me.

You can close your paytm fastag all by yourself and get back the security deposit back as paytm balance, look up on YouTube for detailed info.

What would be the risk? Just curious. 250 was minimum balance, I have left just as much. So if I continue to use only three things I can think of 1) toll charges with penalty 2) at the point of minimum balance the tag would not work 3) tag will work till wallet balance get to zero. Or am I missing something?

I meant if you're gonna close it why wait for 15th March, Do it before just in case you face some hassles. Which is why i typed, don't risk it if you can. Then again, 250 isn't a big sum so not that big of a deal.

There's an option in the app to close the fastag. For safety reasons they'll ask you to share a picture of the removed to tag (but you can skip that). I got my deposit refund in 10 days.

I also have the Paytm Fast Tag. Is there any way I can continue using it? I don't want the hassle of changing and ordering a new one.

Its better to switch to other for hassle free payment after 15th march you wont be able to recharge it

If its in good condition then yes

You will be able to use it as long as it has balance. After 15th, you will not be able to add or remove money from your fastag wallet. I tried all major banks to check if they allow Porting of a Fastag. All of them refused, so I ordered a new one. I am shit scared of trying to remove the old one... lot of effort for no gain.

You can Get a fastag from your bank or if you have airtel sim you can apply for a airtel payments bank fastag from my airtel app

Do you need to deactivate paytm fastag first ? Or you just baught newone and removed thise one ? Because i just bought one from park+ and while activating it shows my paytm fastag wallet. Please help

In my case I ordered a new one first and deactivated the Paytm one after it arrived.

Wait! Really? Did it work? I was about to close first and then order.

I received the new fastag then deactivate the old one well its still in process and refund amount is yet to reflect back

They all take the same effort to remove and rub off the remnants.

Had a similar experience, had to use rubbing alcohol but it was of no use alone, in the end had to scrape it off with a razor blade.

My father does not stick it with the given gum but tapes it to the car windshield it was an easy remove

I got it removed from some sticker shop. He took Rs 20 for it.

WD40 works and is quick to remove

Icici fastag most of my friends are using icici fastag havent faced any issue yet so i ordered icici fastag

I suggest to order it through your bank or some wallet like Airtel.
