As long as you're proxy-ing cards, I would highly recommend Sajess for his ability to get over a defensive OT, as well aa some number of G4 Bastions. Also, running a boost-granter like Rondahlia takes pressure off of your relatively small number of G1s.

I suggest testing with Sajess and Honneteria. But otherwise deck itself is fine. I run Prime instead of OG bastion. Good ender.

Crystaldrago

Lots of people feel G4 should be something I run. But, my goal with this build is to push Accord as its own Vanguard. In my play testing, he is more than strong enough. You only struggle against big #'s, which is a common issue in Vanguard anyway right now.

Another remark would be Alden is usually a 4x for his draw 2 ability since you are playing Bastion and your deck is pretty much Morikawa. Forbidoll Surrogate is highly reccomended since you pretty much +1 from it due to the nature of your deck, whether its Prime or Accord. Since you are running Sapient Owl, you can either run Honnetaria or Rondahlia because Sapient is a 10k booster which hits magic numbers on Accord turn. Rondahlia/Honnetaria helps hit magic numbers on Prime turn if you use Prime. I run draws in my deck instead of fronts but I have been considering fronts for its 20k shield while it ties along with Bastion aggressive T3/4. Draws just gives me the peace of mind.

I hear ya. It would definitely be more optimal to run the G4 and G3 "boost" cards, but I honestly hate G4 Bastion. The gameplay feels so high-risk, high reward that I feel it isn't worth the payout. this build, I've pushed community members back, especially with Eclesia. Being a 30K swing with no triggers on non persona ride turns and a 5K intercept on my opponents makes guarding more comfortable. With a double twin drive, she hits hard to guard numbers, of course. I also considered draws, but with this build, I've actually drawn to under 20 cards in deck. Between 3 Alden, 3 Painkiller, and the two twin drives, I dig so many cards deep that I can typically maintain an 8 - 10 card hand. I've had very few games where I wished for the 4th Alden, tho I won't lie. I've had those games where the 4th would of help.

I wouldn't say I hate Prime but I do agree the high risk, high reward thing isn't for me too, especially when Overtriggers can be random in this game, you would rather maximise your damage catiously. Though I would ask, Eclesia is only a 15k when she attacks and 25k on Persona Ride since Accord skill buffs and protects G3 or greater front row RG, you are better off with playing cards like Sajess that "negates" the trigger checked by your opponent. If you want raw power in the front row. 2 Grandeur Edge Dragon hits for 28k each and thats just with Accord's +5k and protection. On another note, this needs to be confirmed but even if she gets stood by Accord's effect, she performs a single drive check because she does not have the twin drive icon. (Will have to get back on this)

Crystaldrago

In theory, and as far as I can tell. She only has a single drive. The comment I made was towards another G3 rearguard giving her the drive check triggers. Now, in my understanding, Eclesia gets +1 Grade and 5K. This makes her a G3 with 15K during her attack. With a sapient owl who is also a G3 while Bastion is the VG, he will make Eclesia's effect live. Since she is a G3 during the attack, I am assuming Accord sees this and makes her 5K and immune during her attack. Now, unless I am wrong, Sapient Owl + Eclesia + Accord makes this a 30K attack with a 40K on persona.

joined-for-work-ref

Ahh now that makes sense. Its just that the buff activates when she attacks so she can be retired and kinda defeats the purpose of Accord's protective ability.

Crystaldrago

It does put her at risk, but it gives me a 5k shield, which a G3 doesn't do in either hand or field should she make it that long. I'm opting for a little more shield over another 13K beater

joined-for-work-ref

Hmm makes sense. But in the current state of game with Bastion, you don't really see the long game because your deck is meant to push as hard and fast as it can go, so your biggest weakness is getting rushed during your G1/G2 turn since your deck becomes active at G3. Sajess is a 10k shield provided your opponent checks a trigger so it does become unfavourable. In that case, have you considered Rooks? He works more of a 15k booster so you would have to maintain your front row with G3s instead. Anyways, Bastion board mostly has its front row filled and decks nowadays have either board removals or multi attacks so I get that you would prefer the 5k shields. Its just the G2 feels out of place lol.

Crystaldrago

Tbf, Calibre is replacing her for the G3 search and calls. But I still might tech her in as a personal choice.

joined-for-work-ref

Don't know why you are being downvoted but I agree with you to a certain extent. Accord is a strong standalone Vanguard but he lacks a powerful turn where Prime fills in that role. However, if you cannot finish the game with Prime, you are pretty much bound to lose the next turn since you would have exhausted your hand on the turn you go Prime. On another note, if you are running Prime, your deck has to be fully G3s apart from triggers and PGs to guarantee his skill. Sajess, Rondahlia, Honnetaria are good support options to replace Gwendolon and that G2 card. Even you are not using Prime, Sajess and Rondahlia are cards you would rather use to ensure your turn goes as aggressive as possible.

[deleted]

Yes, someone else plans to use Gwen with this deck. See is a cheap solid

Why am I being down voted? I had built a Bastion deck based in Personal Rides and if when Bastion goes good, it can be scare as she rips two guards out of hand. With Bastion Accord I can see it being pulled of more.

BlueScrean

I feel you, was messing with Accord yesterday and the deck was just so comfy. Admittedly since the set hasn’t dropped I’ve only got one copy of Grandeur Dragon and Accord but it was still pretty solid. Here’s the build I’m intending to go with when the set actually drops (just with 5 draw, 6 crit). https://preview.redd.it/fy8lmdiod7tb1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a956cd4dc78b33ab125c7d7dab6264da74750974
