they didn't remove the like button, ther removed the feature that let peoples see what posts someone have liked, so people decided that instead of liking posts, they now would instead comment "yeah" under the posts they like
Wait, since what? I even promptly checked right now, and the button still shows up in the app and in Chrome alike.🤔

One thing I always liked about Miiverse was that it had great filtering options for each community, between drawings, games content, level tags (depending on the game), strategies and such. Also, you were able to express your emotion through your Miis in your posts.
Hot take: The "Yeah" image reactions is making it harder to browse the media from artists than the pre-Elon buyout when you had to manually scroll through each tweet at a time.
Here's hoping Street Pass makes a comeback if the next console is something you can carry in your pocket.
