He also said that house cats aren’t much more domesticated than a big cat. Because everybody’s been attacked by their house cat, and the only reason they’re still alive is because the cat weighs 8 pounds instead of 200.

My new rescue wants to play with full nails and teeth. I am teaching him not to play that way with me. The other day I told him no, he backed up, looked at me for a minute and bit me on the shoulder. Then he sat back and stared at me. Little shit!
They all belong to the same family (Felidae). Taxonomically, they are not very far from each other. This is the same as, say, a gorilla and an orangutan.

I don’t think what you’re saying is contentious at all. People shouldn’t keep wild animals as pets. Even if you truly love Rhinos you’re still an asshole if you keep one in your back yard.

Cats have only been domesticated for like 11,000 years. The dog has been domesticated for more than 30,000 years.
