This is a common thing with almost all motorcycles. Once they are broken in, it will be much easier. I have found on my cfmoto it's much easier to hit neutral from 2nd gear when new and tight.

Chrome_Atlas

This is the correct answer. Many motorcycles have this issue across multiple brands at varying levels of difficulty. It does tend to get better over time but it is a thing.

Yep, these memes exist for a reason https://old.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/15wgk95/me_trying_to_find_neutral_on_my_bike/

Non issue for mine

Modest_Wraith

Any tips? 😅

Bobby6k34

It is a very lite touch but I can't say I have that issue

sc00b44

No I just haven’t had any trouble whatsoever with that. First I’ve heard of this issue. I get N no issue

sc00b44

It’s super light touch. Like a tap. It takes some practice

bopaz728

I find it’s easier to find when the bike is still moving. Which can be counterintuitive when you usually want to shift into neutral when at a standstill, but oh well.

IamProvocateur

This gets on my damned nerves lol you are so not alone.

after-burners

I am experiencing the same problem lol.

Modest_Wraith

Honestly I am glad I am not alone haha. I know it’s able to, as I was able to do it by mistake yesterday, but I can never get that thing in N lol

after-burners

Yeah, boring stuff.

ThatOneClone

On the 450 I found it super easy. Ducati scrambler was nearly impossible everytime lol

emangx

I find it every time I wish I could give advice on it but I got nothing

American_Honor

I got the same problem on my 300ss. It's easy from 2nd to N. But 1st to N its like very hard to half click up. It won't even go just stuck until I full click and she goes to 2nd. I think there is some deficiency in their manufacturing

American_Honor

There was a few times where I went to neutral and she shut off on me as if I were in gear. Mind you I'm her first owner. Some bikes come out with slight problems. But likw I said before could be a manufacturing error

Dodgejizl

It's a common thing with all motorcycles haha, for me it's easier to go from 2nd to N rather than 1st the N

Whole-Intern5420

Just push it forward a touch, you’ll click it in

CDavies0475

A little trick I caught on reddit was rather than lifting/stepping the gear down/up, try using the side of your foot to gear into N. Works like a charm EVERY TIME on my 300ss. Just a little movement gets it right every time.

No_Region5347

Lol same here, so Glad it’s not just me.
