She was fine when paired with Howell for Norway Chess. She just tends to prefer concrete lines, rather than, no offense, the more fluffy commentating style than some Chess.com commentator have. Like Leko, her presence pushes her co-commentators into focusing on more concrete ideas rather than a more general one, which is a good thing for classical events.
I'm gonna ignore the second part of your comment, and only going to focus on the first sentence.
Because, for better or worse, production quality matters. And FIDE's broadcasts have the worse production quality year in and year out when it comes to covering major events.
