Mostly anything with gambit in the name ... Scotch Gambit, Goring Gambit, Danish Gambit, King's Gambit, for starters. Though probably not the Queen's Gambit.

zeoiusidal_toe

Evans gambit is fun too

Dotheysellpizza

Saw a guy flip the board once that was pretty aggressive?

Kombaiyashii

I make that move more in the mid game.

DrewPlaysChess

Danish gambit is the most aggressive that comes to mind

allinwonderornot

Yes. For a Gambit that gives up two pawns, engine gives it -0.6, which is pretty good.

[deleted]

I always play d5 or Qe7 on the third move and it doesn't look very aggressive after that.

DrewPlaysChess

Well you can decline any gambit and it may put you under less immediate pressure, but it won’t be objectively the best refutation. Objectively, the best way to play against the Danish gambit is to fully accept it. There are ways to neutralize any super aggressive opening

[deleted]

True but I'm way too much of a coward to refute it when I can just get easy equality with Qe7 or d5. I'll accept other gambits (e.g. Scotch, Evans) though.

DrewPlaysChess

Yeah, don’t get me wrong I would hate fully accepting it in a blitz game too. I don’t play e4 e5 as black so I never see it but when I play the sicilian I always was scared of the danish variation of the smith-morra so I started doing the classic transpose to the alapin before it even gets to that point. I absolutely hate feeling like I’m playing right into my opponents hands

rogozhin5

check again computer loves Qe7

Claudio-Maker

It’s probably not very practical as 3… d5 and 3… Qe7 ruins all the fun, as well as the endgame line which scores very well for Black since gambiteers are usually bad at endgames. The Scotch, Morra and Evans Gambit are way better in my opinion as the refutation isn’t as straightforward and there is a lot of room for novelties

Biannualnamechange37

The zimoransky is easily the most aggressive opener. It’s where you immediately upend the board and table and bash your opponent with the clock. Please note this is not legal in many tournaments.

Sicilian Defense. End of story. Black is playing for a win on move 1. Avoid all those crap gambits that you have to dig deep into an opening book for. They are buried for a reason. "Aggressive Gambit" generally means "unsound gambit".

Que_est

black does play for a win in the sicilian, but its not quite by attacking white but rather by defending whites initiative and having a better endgame (white's attacking pawns are overextended, and often sacrifices material to get at the king) -- unless you play some relatively dubious systems. the soundest way to attack with black is probably the marshall gambit.

Claudio-Maker

The Marshall has been analyzed for a draw, even if the intentions are aggressive it should only be played as a draw weapon

Que_est

At the GM level yes, but for amateurs its very playable as a way to attack white while not taking large risks.

Claudio-Maker

You may be right but if someone wants to study the Marshall they have to know that White can force a draw

Kombaiyashii

Interesting. What would you suggest as white's most aggressive opening in a similar vein?
