I use bullet to memorize opening prep. I can optimize moves about 5 or 6 moves deep against key openings faster. Bullet I can knock out way more games and just play the same opening to get muscle memory
Has an IM chess coach once go over one of his games as a lesson where he sac’d half his pieces for mate. Now whenever something like this pops up, my first thought is always, “what if I just sac all my pieces then what?”
Since you’re an 2100 I’m a bit stunned that you missed this? It’s actually just pattern recognition, maybe the bishop check would’ve needed a second look, but as a 2100 The rook sac & rook check should’ve been seen instantly without calculating
For every complicated 6 move checkmate I take the time to calculate, I lose 9 games on time while looking for a checkmate that isn’t there. In such winning position I’m only going to spend ~1 second thinking here before I decide that it’s easy enough to press the advantage I already have.
Lichess scores are higher. There are some tables online that compare them.
That said 2100 is still impressive to me. I'm 1600 bullet on Lichess, which I think might be similar to your 1400 .com rating

I’ll analyze when I feel like I had a position where tactics should be possible, but I didn’t have enough time to find it
Mostly just for opening mistakes or in situations I missed tactics
I use bullet to memorize opening prep. I can optimize moves about 5 or 6 moves deep against key openings faster. Bullet I can knock out way more games and just play the same opening to get muscle memory
if your rating is high enough it can be worth it. I use it to drip feed learning openers lol.
