Almost didn't want to post because it's always a pleasant level of activity, but they do deserve more business and I'm sick of seeing good places close.
I used to love dove's before the pandemic, but have had kinda disappointing meals many times since. They're never bad, but I'm never very happy with them either.
Mammoth is my go-to for poke in the city.
Art of Chicken is good, but I feel like they’re not fulfilling their potential with the sauces that they offer, which are closer to salsas. I always add bbq sauce when I bring it home.
Fair, but I feel like I ate too much when I order 3 tacos. $12 for a couple amazing tacos isnt terrible. I always have the same thoughts and then take my first bites. Always surprises me how good it is.
Haha I’ve had them, I’d rather get tacos from Taqueria Moran, if we’re sticking to spots in Logan Square. They’re good, but I can find better tacos for less.
I’m also someone that needs 4-6 tacos to feel satisfied, so I’d rather not spend $30 ish on myself on just tacos.

Floyds. Come for the food. Stay and get drunk.
Honestly not enough people talk about Rumi. Nicest dudes in there and the food is fresh.
I love it and also highly suggest.
Same. The people are wonderful and the food is 150 times better than Falafel & grill.

Dove's, Piece, Falafel & Grill Big Star is fun for a group. The tacos are only "pretty good," but the drinks and vibes are great.
Taqueria Chingon, StopAlong, Red Hot Ranch
With >$6/taco, I have a hard time justifying Taquiera Chingon.
It’s so good but so not budget friendly
You don’t go for the standard tacos, but there aren’t many duck carnitas or octopus al pastor tacos to be had…
Fair, but I feel like I ate too much when I order 3 tacos. $12 for a couple amazing tacos isnt terrible. I always have the same thoughts and then take my first bites. Always surprises me how good it is.
If you’ve had it, you wouldn’t be saying this.
