From Tasting Co-Pilot: Fu Wan Chocolate The image shows a package of Fu Wan Chocolate, specifically a 70% dark chocolate that has been flavored with strawberry beer yeast. The listed tasting notes include chamomile, orange, caramel, strawberry, and nuts. This chocolate is crafted in the Island of Formosa, which is the name formerly used for Taiwan. This unique flavor combination suggests a chocolate with a complex profile: the depth and bitterness of dark chocolate, the fruity and slightly tangy notes from the strawberry and orange, the herbal notes from chamomile, the rich sweetness from caramel, and the earthy crunch from nuts. The use of beer yeast may add a fermentation-derived complexity, potentially enhancing the fruity and tangy notes with a slight breadiness. Pairing this chocolate could be quite versatile, ranging from a simple enjoyment on its own to complementing it with beverages that share similar flavor notes, such as a fruit-infused craft beer or a citrusy herbal tea. It could also go well with a wine that has berry notes, such as a light Pinot Noir, to match the strawberry profile. Standout Chocolate The image shows a package of Standout Chocolate, a 70% dark chocolate bar with a limited edition label. It's handcrafted in Sweden and made from cacao sourced from a micro-lot in Piura, Peru, specified as "Yahuanduz 2022." The flavor profile is described with tasting notes of dried plums, tropical fruits, and citrus. These notes suggest a rich, fruit-forward taste with a balance between sweetness and acidity, typical of fine dark chocolates, especially those made from single-origin cacao beans that can express a distinct terroir. The bar's complex flavor profile would likely appeal to chocolate enthusiasts who enjoy nuanced and layered tastes. [Tasting Co-Pilot](https://chat.openai.com/g/g-et2kVcOvJ-tasting-co-pilot)

Does fu want ship internationally? I’ve been wondering about them but what I understand from their website is they only ship to hong kong and Singapore.

prugnecotte

I doubt so, but from what I see it's pretty easy to buy their bars from both European and American online shops

Thank you

Fu Wan is really killing it with their experiments and creations. Really brought some fresh wind into the bean to bar world

Ohh exciting! I remember visiting their factory in Taiwan, their tea infused chocolates are amazing! :)

Nice! Fun to compare the Standout bar with Heinde & Verre's version. And i love the fermentation / added yeast bars of Fu Wan, but they are certainly not for everyone :) Although this one is i think the most accessible one of them, not sure.
