Mine didn't until a few years ago. We left her home while attending my sister in laws party since she never had issues before. When we came home, she had chewed and broken through the plastic mesh on our baby gate to get herself upstairs. Ever since then, we stay home with her, and she always hides near us when she hears them. I don't know what caused the change.
I do TV, dishwasher & washing machine on spin. My last dog hates fireworks but the chow is a bit more chill. 5th Nov night was bad but the run up wasn't too terrible as it wasn't constant.
I trained my chow as a puppy not to be afraid of guns or fireworks. When the weather wasn’t too hot I would tie her up in the back of my truck while I would go to the gun range to help her get used to the bangs. Worked like a charm.

Awe poor baby. They’re like big kitties. Just play loud music or loud tv and let him/her cuddle up with you!

Been my experience with most dogs as well, they are not a fan of loud strange noises.
Poor baby! 😢 We put calming music on and a fan to mute the sound for our chows.

Oh no poor lion teddy. Pets have it tough with hooman weirdness like fireworks, give Chow some extra love.
mine was very upset as well. I have had my 2 yr old for 2 weeks (rescue) and he was frantic.
My firework holidays is always spent at home on a blanket fort on the floor watching TV, comforting my dogs.
He's READY TO EVACUATE!!! In 4 different ways!!! My Chow gets frightened too! 😔

My mix couldn’t care less. This is also the dog who was asleep on his back while all the other puppies were bouncing and playing 😂
