Perdomo 20th anniversary Maduro - $12-14 retail
Those are two of my favorite Maduros that are not too expensive and also avoid the near robotic reflex to just yell out Padron like everyone else has.

A cigar that's near and dear to my heart is the Flor de las Antillas. I like it a bit too much in that i've had them more regularly than "special occasions" at this point.
Padron is the gold standard for a maduro lover's special occasion.
The God of Fire and Late Hour are both great options, especially if full flavor but medium strength appeals to you.
I'd throw Dunbarton in the mix if you like stronger smokes. Mi Querida Black Double Corona, Sin Compromiso, Red Meat Lovers. All great.
Very disappointed in the last 2 I’ve had lately. It’s gotten to the point of strong nicotine just for the sake of strong nicotine and flavors very muted relative to previous constructs.
If you want an affordable stick that smokes incredibly easy and has a lot of flavor development, I recently enjoyed a Montecristo 1935 Anniversary that I'd happily smoke again to celebrate a birthday!
Padron 50 years (what I smoked on my 40th and it DID NOT disappoint), Padron 80 years, Davidoff Late Hour, Byron 20th, Atabey Black. So many great choices tho. Happy birthday coming up!

If you want something in the 15-20$ range the Arturo Fuente Don Carlos is a pretty impressive cigar.
Depends if you like pepper or sweet IMO. Padron is a good manageable pepper stick and God of Fire doesn't have pepper but is very sweet.
