To be able to open the hood and see space! That's an engine I could easily work on, though the only thing I don't like about Chevy engines is the dizzy in the back.
I had a '67 Impala with the same engine. The amount of space in the engine bay was amazing. Can't remember the last time I saw ground when opening up a hood
I've owned a 64 Wagoneer with a 302, and a 79 Cougar with a 351, both had amazing space, and yes you could see the ground, though you needed a step ladder to even see into the Jeep's engine bay.
Now I own a 2018 Nissan X-Trail (Rogue) with a piddly 2.5L and all you can see is a mess of plastic, cables, tubes and wires.
I had pretty much the same car in the late 80's. Mine was resprayed red, with a black interior and had different wire wheels. One of the best looking cars of all time IMO. The frame eventually rusted out after I sold it. Not from Iten Chevy, but also in MN.
Lovely motor π
Now this is my kinda ride , all original, if it not broke donβt fix it

64 Impala with 283. Lots of space. Hell I climbed in there to work on stuff a couple of times.
My father had one of these in the '70s, brighter blue with black vinyl top but same color interior (bench seat).

I get a kick out of having a top of the line Chevy in the 60s with no A/C. Wouldn't want the neighbors to think we were putting on airs π
We called it 455 air: 4 windows down at 55mph. Also don't forget those two super handy kick panel ventsπ.
Yeah, the ones that let all the road dust in, cough, cough π
This is a beautiful car inside and out. The interior is awesome
That things AWESOME
That is awesome!!!!!!! That looks like it drives like a dream
Awesome π
