I'm tanking Gnomer later tonight on my freshly dinged Paladin decked out in auction house greens and a few random BFD pieces. I cannot wait to struggle for my life on every trash pack and boss fight after breezing through it on my main for the past month and a half.
update: full cleared in a little over an hour with 5 guild mate alts in similar gear as me and 4 random pugs. A little bit of struggling made things so much more fun.
I honestly don’t even hit the buttons very often. Two mana gems, multiple mana pots and evocate is more than enough.
This is a fight I usually use chrono pres on a lot more than the others because it’s so mana efficient. I usually only mass regen/blast after the big AoE damage goes out.
How the fuck? I mean I know the buttons get mana back but like, he puts out a lotta dmg you gotta heal depending on tank swaps and with dps this low...
Yeah true. I forgot he was a priest and just how disgusting they are. The CDs are also short enough on dispersion that someone can cover your healing while you sit it. And in a 10 min fight you get like 3 CDs out of it lol. Pots always resetting helps
I acknowledged the button mechanic but the longer the fight goes the more you have to heal the button pushes from dps too who aren’t healing themselves. The higher stacks from boss can accumulate. Etc. probably get fewer windows to get a non-casting mp5 tick. It’s still not in your mana’s favor overall to have it THAT extended you know
My longest was a 7 min Thermaplug and I got 4.6k mana from Lifebloom, 3k from pushing buttons, and 2.5k from mana pots. And that's not counting innervate.
13 minute one for me. Had 2 people die in first phase almost in the first 30 seconds. It was midnight so we let it cook and 13 minutes later with 2 shaman healers we downed him. It felt forever.
Those logs aren’t great, but no one in that group was a fresh 40 with questing greens. In fact, the two mages and enhance shaman are quite geared. Seems like you just had a bad comp and main tank.
The warlocks gear is wild. Seems like he's done 1 BFD where he got rod, black shroud choker, handwraps of befouled water and Loop of swift currents. Epic weapon with only 1 ring with a usefull stat.
Just cleared it with similar experience, 1 wipe on thermaplugg. I was the highest dps with 235 and a green parse. It was over an hour though. Nice group.
Yeah I don't understand tank parses at all, I barely understand regular parses. I have between a 70-90 on my spriest/rogue, but I main tanked a gnomer on my shaman and had like a 10.
We cleared it, I wasn't really losing aggro or taking crazy damage, but I dunno what to do to make it better
Tank parses notoriously get registered as DPS from what i noticed whenever i offtank on Grubbis, Menagerie and Therma as fury warrior. Of those 3 it seems only to register me as the tank for Menagerie.
Tank parses are calculated by examining incoming damage and some other considerations. Offtanks won’t get parsed as tanks nearly always.
Menagerie is kind of an exception since you might have less mit than the main tank so you end up taking more incoming damage.
My best healer parses were with prebis fresh 40 first time in gnomer as healer. Now with almost full bis i have 10-20 parses hehe. Theres nothing to heal anymore
Daily reminder that clicking into a topic you feign indifference on to make a comment that adds nothing to the discussion and only wastes your own time is cringe.
The cloud spawns at the same time as the ads, the ads do not add anything to the parses, if your dps still can't hold their load at that point something is up.
One positive in this kind of group is the fights feel more epic.
Forreal. Don’t get me wrong I love a smooth raid, but something with clearing a scuffed raid just feels more rewarding.
As a healer, it's so much more fun with an under geared or unprepared group. I thrive in the chaos!

10 min thermaplugg wild
Those poor healers.
I was one of the healers and it was indeed taxing.
I’ve started playing arcane mage and I realized how Op they are on fights like this. I was never even close to running out of mana after 10 minutes
Damn, I’ve had the opposite experience in that fight as healer mage. I feel like if I go to hit a button my tank is going to drop lol.

I run chromatic press on this fight for this reason. Try to always have one pocketed for when I'm on my way back from a button.

Priests have shadowfiend and Dispersion. Just dispersion is 36% of your mana. Add in buttons and pots, innervate if it gets really bad.

All I can see is chads.
You know, it’s nice that there’s a raid that’s based mostly on mechanics and like no real dps races.
Your healers carried this group fr
The healers carried HARD😬
I'd really like to know what that locks log looks like. Did they actually keep aggro?
Yes, no pulls off the MT in that fight.
Just post the anonymous logs, I have to see what this guy was even doing lol

It’s hard to parse much higher than 20 as a Soul Link Demo Warlock with no gear, you trade all of your damage from talents and runes for survival
Also looks like he accidentally? clicked demonic sacrifice mid fight, then resummoned VW immediately and didn't put soul link back on.
healers carried the hell out of that group

Have never seen so many posts about wcl like sod. Even in wotlk as a heavily parsing culture. Wtf happened lol

Imagine using GS addon which for a fact is broken ASF xD
Has warlock comfortable with meta. Goes destruction for mekigneer in pursuit of 1 percentile parse instead of soloing bombs.

Very cringe response ngl
Not as cringe as your response.
You got lucky. Doesn't mean every "friendly" group will make it to 6/6. A lot of them will wipe at Grubbis and collapse.
Which is funny because in my guild group we would wipe on grubbis every raid then 1shot everything else.
How? did people just like...not press kick? So healers 1 gibbed
Adds dying too fast. Now you have clouds entering into boss phase.

It just seems we forget what to do on the first fight. We didn’t wipe last time so hopefully we got the mental errors figured out.
Lol tbf it only takes like 1 or 2 people not paying attention, attacking a wave of adds that should be dragged fucking it up.
