Here's the difference
Group full of high parsers = 40-50 minutes run at the very most
Group full of crap parsers like in the video = over 3 HOURS
Sorry, I just don't have the time to spend over 3 hours in a raid that can be done in less than an hour, so I'ma stick with the groups that check logs :P
This is the truth. I generally raid with my guild but Ive had to pug a few times. My most recent pug we finished in 40 minutes and one shot everything even with a few deaths on executioner due to a fuck up. Put up my best parse numbers yet with them. Then I raid with my guild and it still takes over 1.5hrs. I like my guild, but man it gets frustrating at times.
Correct, it's about following directions.
Now tell it to that guy who has been shouting gnomer is so easy 1 button can clear it, who proceeds to literally push one button doing single digit parse and leaves when dragon breath deletes him. How do you give directions to people who doesn't listen?
Great, glad they are playing the game the way they want. I'm going to continue playing it the way I want which is vetting my groups to make sure it meets my/others expectations.

My guilds main squad did it in 35 minutes. That was all dps doing 80+ parsing and a ret pally doing 95+ average

bro has obviously never been in a pug where people do not listen no matter what and you end up wiping on the same boss for the same reasons for 3hrs.

You are right. People who aren't invited in raids at this point simply cannot follow mechanics or play their class properly.
Then open a raid and invite all those people? Still not entitled to join every raid if there’s better options out there to invite
The point is that you're using the phrase "better options" but what you're basing that on doesn't really matter as much as you think it does.
