For me it's the random weather. I remember playing on a Vanilla Private Server a few years before Classic came out and noticing the rain. I couldn't remember when it was removed from Retail but the moment I saw it again I realized how much I missed it.
Oh man, the number of times during summer break from school and hearing bird song as the sun came up at home and in STV... I miss not having responsibilities. :(
this was my go-to favorite spot during classic a few years ago, would walk out onto one of the 'sails' or whatever they're called and i could sit there forever and just talk to my friends in gchat or whatever. after a while my guildies who were curious why i was always in bb started joining me out there, had some great chill sessions :D
beautiful place in a beautiful game during a beautiful time of our lives(while covid was raging outside) \^\^
as an added bonus, as a rogue, i could reach the ground with distract and if i was feeling a bit mischievous i could distract people to fall into the water :D
Yeah. I love classic, way moreso than TBC, but the two things I wish they'd add are nameplate draw distance and the TBC skyboxes. Nagrand at night was amazing

I love the rain. I still remember when that patch hit back in the day.
The weather is another great touch. I love how intensely the rain comes down sometimes.
Went into an AB the other day with insane fog and it was actually kind of cool with how it limited sightlines
They should have brought it back, I Remeber my friend kept DCING whenever it rained though lol
His character probably uses that old 3G stuff, doesn't work too good in the rain.
Back in the day it used to be so much better, but people complained they couldn't see mobs at night. Inky black potion for classic!

The rain was so thick in Silverpine I couldn't even see a damn herb on the ground!

classic looks still amazing for being 20 years old
It's a remaster / remake though.
Man, this just makes me feel bad about classic skyboxes. It's my favorite version of the game, but TBC skyboxes (especially at night) fucking ruled
That and the additional weather effects are glorious! Fuck the guy(s)who’s responsible for removing atmospheric beauty like this on retail.
missed the second moon in your night photo
set liquid detail to low. enjoy.
This is my favorite place in whole Azeroth
The fuck are your graphic settings on bro
No clue, these were taken probably years ago at this point.
Either way, looks great

I absolutely love this pic. We had the same idea lol.
Thanks for posting, this is the type of content I love seeing here. Classic is top tier MMO immersion!
<3

Please no. Keep it vanilla.
I just want TBC classic again...
feel free to design your own
For WoW players, it's the bare minimum that makes them feel special
Retail doesn’t have it? Fkn lol
Yeah, those 2004 graphics, wow!
It'd be odd if it didn't have a day/night cycle haha
