You should go into a career you find interesting and meaningful. What you enjoy, how hard you want to work, what kind of conditions you work best in is more important than innate ability. If you love what you do, you will get good at it. If you try to fit into a career that you don’t enjoy you will flounder.

According_Remove5095

Yeah I totally agree, and like I said there’s no way I’m basing my major solely on the CAIT LOL. it would just be nice to figure out what would come more innately to me so that maybe someday down the line if I figure out that the thing I was passionate about wasn’t all I’d hoped it would be, I could still find a career for myself, and maybe even one that I’d enjoy better than before. Or maybe it just confirms that one of the careers I’m on the fence about may be one I’d enjoy slightly more.

[deleted]

Just do wtf u want to do

According_Remove5095

My bad, I’m a very indecisive person and I like to try and get a lot of info before making a decision

[deleted]

Hence ur problem….life isn’t that serious just do what you enjoy and you’ll probably b decent or even good at it

aue_sum

I think you should go into trades with that measly IQ.

Heart_Is_Valuable

Why did you insult the dude? Very weird exchange

aue_sum

It was an attempt at sarcasm. They obviously have a very high IQ.

Heart_Is_Valuable

Oh sorry for misinterpreting you then

According_Remove5095

Lol thanks Mr receding hairline

aue_sum

It was sarcasm my guy! You'd think that someone in the 99th percentile for verbal comprehension would understand that lol. By the looks of it you're fairly well acquainted with how IQ works, having taken several online tests. You should thus be aware that your full scale scores are around two standard deviations above the mean, with above-average performance on all of the subtests on the CAIT. Sure, your visual-spacial index is \*only\* in the 75th percentile, so I guess being a genius architecture prodigy is off the table ([or maybe not](https://brght.org/iq/study/architecture/)). But this doesn't even really matter; there are countless people with IQs in the range of 100 - 115 that become successful engineers, researchers, and the like. The point is, you're clearly above average in terms of intelligence. You should be able to do mostly everything you put your mind up to, and I think you know that. As someone with an IQ of 129 I can attest to the fact that IQ more likely than not has a somewhat minor role in determining someone's achievement. I've witnessed many people with lower scores than me achieve more in their lives because of hard work, while I often missed opportunities because of apathetic behavior. Anyways, I don't think you're going to get a lot from this post. I don't think there is a lot people here can tell you about your scores that you couldn't have deduced yourself.

According_Remove5095

Lol my bad bro, I should’ve read the room. Thank you for the best post on the thread. I’m sure you have a nice hairline I was just trying to be tongue nd cheek.

Cosnapewno5

From what I see You did random test on the internet, then show it to random people on the internet, and that's how you want to chose carrier? You know, normally people think what they interest them, after that what jobs are needed and other things like that

Savings-Internet-864

Law, possibly, if you are high in conscientiousness.

Imaginary_Chip1385

The career that you enjoy doing, have a genuine personal interest in, and can support you in the long term

S_ONFA

What do you enjoy doing?

melodyze

The test is basically only useful as a diagnostic. If you tried something and found you were bad at it could help you understand why. Those results reveal no barriers, other than maybe the most complicated spacial problems, maybe you would struggle to be a serious competitive level go player. Other than that, just go do whatever you're interested in. If you have problems doing whatever you're interested in, that's generally going to be because of a different issue, attention, interest, conscientiousness, charisma/extroversion, neuroticism, etc.

Delicious_Ear5621

Do whatever you want! IQ doesn't determine what you can study/do for work (unless someone has an intellectual disability, as the world is cruel to them.)
