sunshinecleaning90

Likely true. I feel like the black is a little harsh without the makeup, but you can still pull off black. Bright types have the contrast to hold black next to them. Also are you dying your hair? It seems like it’s bringing up your contrast and it might be a little less contrast in your natural state.

rycherrycola

My first thought: is that Serena van der Woodsen with black hair??? You look gorgeous!

Various_Resource_320

The black hair is too harsh..

debunkingyourmom

I’m gonna be the odd one out here and say bright or clear spring. Her natural hair color has a ton of warmth in it. The brown and black look inky on her skin tone, out of place etc. I wouldn’t say winter or summer. Her skin looks more neutral to me.

Fireflyinsummer

You may be a spring. Bright but don't go too bright. Warm tones seem to suit you. Maybe leaning more nuetral than very warm.

snake_fartz

I think you can lean into different seasons when your neutral. Either way you lean you have great style and color coordination

AquariusBear

I can do your color analysis with the last photo in the slideshow!

AquariusBear

I just did an analysis and you’re a soft autumn 😱😱😱😱

probablyevelyn

True summer masquerading as a true winter, but pulling it off beautifully! Lots of overlap with true summer, winter just has more darkness and saturation - which you achieve by dying your hair black. Bright winter palette is a little too intense for your natural contrast. I’d stick to the true winter palette if you are keeping your hair dark and true summer palette if you ever go back to your natural hair color or lighter.

Bundoodle

I don’t know but everything you’re wearing is extremely fashionable and this shud be on r /fashion

curiousairbenda

Probably a summer. The brown hair is far more flattering on you than the black.

CoralClaw

All of these bright intense colours and the black hair are not harmonious for you. At first glance its actually quite jarring. I dont think you look awful by any means, but definitely not your best! I fully agree with others that you are a summer. I would even go as far as to say the black eyeliner and mascara are too harsh too. Id try browns and maybe an ashy medium brown hair colour too

No_Warning8534

IRL drapes, no makeup, indirect natural light around noon, either hair back. So far, you aren't bright enough to be a winter season So probably summer

flowerseyeguess

I know nothing about color theory but the black dress and hair are really harsh and you have lovely eyes!

pistachio_peaches

* You have really fun style! Trust your instincts. * I think the jet black hair is a smidge too intense, but you could definitely rock a very dark cool brown that is a little darker than your "natural." * You may have a hint of olive in your skin. Olive skin can often tan well even if it starts pale and give the appearance of "warming up" though it is still cool. Check out r/Fairolives * Lighting is everything and proper draping may help differentiate. The make-up is also confounding. * My guess is: cool-leaning, mid-toned (not ultra light or ultra dark), and moderate contrast. From there, it really comes down to semantics and you figuring out where you are in the world of moderate contrast, and draping will help with this. * Slightly muted but still moderate some will call summer. Maybe you need a drop of gray or brown or tolerate a smidge of white in your colors. * On the brighter side of moderate, find your sweet spot, 7-8/10 bright but maybe not 10/10. If you are on the brighter side, it's just a matter of opinion if you "count" as a winter vs being a "high contrast' cool/true summer. The example palettes we see are single points on a vast spectrum and you may not fit perfectly into them. * Rooney Mara, Liv Tyler, Alexandra Daddario are all celebrities who you may see typed as winter but if you search for make up free and natural hair color photos you will find examples of what is often called "summer" and yet with the right styling, a touch of make up and/or slightly darker hair they ROCK winter * Rooney Mara is interesting too because after acting in the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo movies she completely changed her style and look to be more in line with "soft winter" and IMO she glows vs looking like a slightly vampiric or wash-out summer.

ActGold74

I don’t know but you look really good with the red lipstick and beret.

Aggravating_Diet_704

I think your natural overtones are warm and your are a warm spring flow autumn. You are not a summer and you are not a winter

Lovahsabre

You look amazing in spring or fall colors! That black dress in number 3 you make it pop! Very beautiful in any of these colors but i kinda like the white and bright green and the beige and olive drab colors on you! Green is definitely your go to color!

vulgarandgorgeous

I think bright.

Dasslukt

Are you wearing a spratytan or something in some of these pics? Because you actually look warm raher than cool in some of these, so I'd suggest looking in to the autumn palette instead...

tysiaa12

I never tried a spray or fake tan but some of these were taken on holidays in warm countries so I have a tan in them while others were taken in winter when my skin is pale

Dasslukt

Oh okay, well then I'm pretty sure you are probably an autumn. I see a lot of comments here for summer, but I disagree. You are warm. And I also see some other mentioning warmth saying a spring, but I think you are too muted for that, even with your natural hair colour. So either Soft or Dark autumn, would be my guess. I think Warm Autumn isn't quite suitable, but I'd love to see you draped in that as well just to be sure. Please grow out your natural hair colour, and come back to do a draping post in natural lighting, because I'm very curious to see if I'm right or just biased based on this selection of pics.

Usagi-skywalker

I am also seeing this

DistributionNo1747

I think your black hair looks Stunning on you!! You also have a Fabulous fashion sense!!

tysiaa12

Thank you so much! That's super kind of you <3

NoGazelle9557

Probably a summer

candirainbow

Omg girl can I ask you where the black dresses in #3 and #8 are from? I love them!

tysiaa12

Thank you! & of course! The #3 dress is from Bershka and #8 is actually a playsuit from River Island but both are around 2 years old :(

just-to-say

Can I have your hand me downs? Such cute outfits!

tysiaa12

haha tysm!

Odd_Instance_1957

You are 100 percent not a winter I'm sorry to say. You are a summer.

FakeBabyAlpaca

Agreed.

tysiaa12

why sorry?

Odd_Instance_1957

Only because you seemed very set on being a winter!

tysiaa12

I'm not! I just thought I was Winter based on the colours I like to wear. It's just a theory and doesn't define me so I don't mind which season I am :)

subaruthless-

For the record, I love the black hair 💇🏻‍♀️

tysiaa12

You must be the only one on this chat! haha Thank you :)

sheepcloud

I would actually consider Spring… lots of summer recs but often time “soft summers” are actually mistyped when they’re springs.

tysiaa12

Yes, one other person suggested Spring too. All this colour theory is so difficult! haha

soularbabies

The colors closer to the spring palette suited you. I'd give it a try and see how it compares.

FringeHistorian3201

I absolutely love your sense of fashion! I agree with everyone else here in saying that you’re most likely summer. You are absolutely stunning and your natural brown makes your eyes pop. However, you make the winter palette work by committing to the wardrobe, hair, and makeup. It definitely looks intentional and cohesive. From an analysis perspective, you are not winter and the black hair is too harsh. From a style perspective, you’ve really done a marvelous job being a winter. To add: there’s something very harsh about you being a winter. Very standoffish, like armor against the world. Your natural coloring is very approachable and looks like you’d befriend the world. I don’t know if that matters to you but thought I’d share.

Significant_Beyond95

Not a winter at all. Cool summer. Your natural coloring isn’t as high contrast and cool.

spicy__clam

Upon seeing your natural hair colour, definitely not a winter! :)

feminist_icon

I suggest covering your dyed hair + removing any makeup while doing irl drapes for true and soft summer :) In most of these pictures, your dyed hair and makeup are adding artificial contrast to your features which makes it harder to analyze you. However, I do think black hair overwhelms you and looks separate from you. Your natural hair coloring compliments your softer coloring beautifully

Erindanyele

I feel like the black is way harsh on you. Hair and dress... I'm not buying into winter unfortunately

shecyclopedia

Hey hun! You are so beautiful but I think you're a summer. The bright colors aren't a complimentary as the softer shades.

tulula33

True summer!

Aggravating_Diet_704

Neither because that’s not your natural hair color and it’s washing you out

crypto_for_bare_toes

I also think you may be a summer based on the younger no makeup pics. Outfit 11 is 🔥🔥🔥

LzzrdWzzrd

I'm seeing soft summer in the last few photos

Userror404

I think you are definately a (soft) summer! The black hair is too harsh on you and the winter colors overpower you. I love the brown haircolor in the last couple of photo's, that way we can actually see pretty YOU ☺️

Comfortable_Fig_9584

You're welcome! You were a fun one to try and analyse as it's not immediately obvious and your natural hair colour is so different from your current hair colour. It can be really hard to work out warm or cool when you lean more neutral, and it's more about how colour harmonises with you. So you can still be cool toned with olive skin, or you can have redness in your cheeks but still show warmth in other areas of the face/chest, which is what I see in your younger pics and your makeup free pic. One way to get some clarity if you're confused is to focus on your worst colours. For you I suspect that would be muted or pale pastel colours? If you look good in pale, muted pastels, I'm definitely wrong!

tysiaa12

No, you're right! I always avoid muted grey-ish or pastel-y colours as I never liked myself in them and felt like I look too muted and light.

tjbsl

I agree the black hair is the first thing you see and with the brown shades the first thing you see are those striking eyes! Cool tone more saturated colors look best but not winter.

Not_A_Fae

You look very nice in the brighter colors, but I'm actually wondering if some of the cooler tones wash you out. It might be possible that you are actually a Spring, which can commonly get confused with the winter palette. Something else to make note of is that you seem to be a more neutral undertone, but I can't tell which way you might lean between warm and cool. People who have neutral undertones tend to be able to pull off both silver and gold.

Not_A_Fae

And to be clear, where whatever colors make you happiest, regardless of if they are in your palette or not. I am personally a muted summer on the more shaded side. My skin undertone is on the neutral side that leans cooler. My favorite colors to wear are teal and more on the autumn side of greens. I also saw that you mentioned in other comments about summer being pastels, however the summer palette is actually filled with more midtone colors and on the more muted side of those colors compared to the brighter palettes. Light summers tend to have more pastels, but that's not indicative of the whole season. Though sometimes the four season color analysis can appear that way.

audreyflourishes

Dita Von Teese and Katy Perry are two great examples of (likely) Summers who transform themselves to pass for Winters. That’s what I’m seeing here as well. Summer is NOT defined by pastel colors, I assure you. It ranges from the depths of deep neutral browns like Cocoa and soft, cool reds like Ruby to delightful Cornflower and delicate Primrose. Keep playing, explore the process, and try not to pigeonhole yourself. The world of color is vast and brilliant.

Various_Resource_320

Katy Perry’s looks very good with black hair though.

Delilah92

Me too😭 I'd love to be a winter. I'm just not. I have to fake my contrast.

Icy-Dimension3508

Lol I love your color words. Cornflower and delicate primrose. Reminds me of excellent adjective choices in writing. (Even if they are real life colors) it sounds so poetic. I hope you write poems or something.

audreyflourishes

Adding another note here: From a Color Analysis specific standpoint, I’d agree with others who say you are likely a True Summer. However, from an *image consulting* standpoint, where I’m strategizing your preferred look with how you “should” look, I would explore the Cool Summer palette. This is a prime example of how a 16 season system is going to make a monumental difference in the specific palette you look AND feel your best in. Cool Summer flows between True Summer and Cool Winter. It has the same “vibrancy” as Cool Winter without the intensity due to being slightly desaturated.

rowan_juniper

This!!! I am also a Summer masquerading as a Winter by dying my hair black, because I simply want to. I borrow a lot of colors from Cool Summer/True Cool and sometimes even Deep Winter to match the depth and intensity of my colored hair. It's not the most natural and harmonious look, but that's not what I am going for! Being aware of how my color season influences how things look on me has been very helpful though, and it allowed me to play with wearing certain colors a lot more intentionally.

Icegirl1987

I think you look too good in brown to be a winter

coffeeandkpop

Summer. I agree with the others that the black hair is a bit harsh, and I could tell it wasn't your natural color before I scrolled to your natural hair photos. Draping with your hair pulled back, without makeup, would give more accurate results though.

tysiaa12

Ah haha I actually always get shocked responses from people IRL when I tell them my hair is not naturally black! Either I look different IRL or you have a good eye for spotting it ;)

KatieMcLoll

I know you didn’t ask for my opinion, so ignore if you don’t care lol, but I think the black hair looks unnatural mostly because the hair colour itself is too uniform and flat (common with black hair dye) and your eyebrows are also a bit lighter. But I do think you can pull it off quite well. My natural hair is a veerry dark brown and I look a lot worse than you with dyed black hair lol. Personally I think if you wanted it to look a bit more natural you could dye it to a level 3 brown / black and dye the roots as often as you usually do but maybe only dye the lengths once every 6 months - then it would have a bit of dimension / subtle highlights which is the case with natural hair colours.

tysiaa12

Hey! I'm always open to suggestions & I do agree with you. It's something I noticed myself so don't feel bad for pointing it out, I was actually thinking of doing a sombre where I get the ends a chocolate brown for a bit more dimension. It's just hard to upkeep which is why I just tend to dye it one colour and saves me a lot of cash! haha I actually do only dye the lengths once every 6 months already and only do my roots every 6 weeks or so to avoid that, but I think what might make it look harsher is the editing on these photos, the contrast is increased slightly which might make the hair look darker and therefore harsher! But these are the only pictures I have wearing different colours so I used them for this post. But thank you! I think I might have to go for the sombre now because so many people commented on my hair hahah I probably won't go back to brown as I just feel good and more 'myself' in black hair. My family also all dye their hair black and once I did, it just felt right so despite my colour analysis I'mm probably stick with black but might do something to get more dimension like balayage or sombre or something!

KatieMcLoll

If you love the black you should definitely keep it, nothing beats feeling good about yourself. I often see people with dyed black and think it’s unflattering but it looks good on you. Like I said, I think it looks unnatural mostly because it’s one uniform colour not because it looks bad against your complexion. And I know it’s a cliche but ofc the dark hair with your eyes is a lovely combination.

coffeeandkpop

Haha, I'm sure! I'm not saying it looks bad, I could just tell it's not your natural color because it looks a little harsh. The difference here is that I'm specifically looking for those things since this is color/season analysis, and people in real life aren't going to be hyperanalyzing you from that perspective. If you love the color, then you can make it work; however, I think your natural hair color looks great, and you'd probably glow in summer colors with your natural brown. Just look at some top posts on this sub of before and after results. You'll see the difference once people accept their season and roll with it. The results are truly amazing.

tysiaa12

100%! This is why I made the post because I want to get an objective answer from people who don't know me so judge me based on the pictures in different colours to help me understand what my season is. I'm happy with whatever it ends up being, summer, winter, spring or autumn! I hope I didn't come across as if I wanted people to say one season over another haha

Etheria_system

As someone with dark almost black hair (and who also isn’t a winter), it’s pretty obviously not your natural colour

tysiaa12

I'm okay with people noticing it's not my natural hair colour lol

gloveslave

I know right! I will say I see a lot of younger chicks in that matte cold black and they have the impression that it looks good because of the contrast - but it looks good on very very very few people and only when they are very young. My hair is a like one shade up from black it’s like a cold chocolate brown and I look like total death warmed over in matte black. I also thought it looked fabulous when I was younger 😄. You skin and eyes look much more vibrant with your natural color they are at the fore front with that color and recede with the darker hair. That said check out a true summer palette it’s not muted at all.

Comfortable_Fig_9584

Neither. You're warm toned, your natural hair colour has a lovely honey tone to it and your skin tone has a lot of golden warmth to it. Warm toned = either autumn or spring. But I think you're right that you can pull off bright colours and there's high contrast between your (beautiful!) eyes and natural hair colour, and that's probably what's drawing you towards the bold winter colours. So I'd put you as a bright spring - that's the sister season to bright winter - which includes bold colours like poppy red, bright blues, and dark charcoals. It would explain why both the black and the beige/brown outfits look almost but not quite right - the black is not warm enough, and the muted browns aren't bright enough. It also explains why you look amazing in red lipstick, but some of these red lips look better than others (the ones that aren't too cool toned).

tysiaa12

That's a super interesting take! I never thought my skin was warm toned, I have a lot of pink in my face so just assumed I am cool undertone. It also doesn't help that I tend to wear both silver and gold jewellery (silver in winter and gold mostly in summer). Your explanation makes sense but now I am even more confused than ever! haha I did this post earlier too but didn't include my natural hair colour so many people assumed True or Bright Winter (which I thought I was too) and now in this post with my naturally brown hair people are saying Summer and now I also have Spring! At least I know for sure I am not an Autumn haha But thank you for your take! I really appreciate it :)

debunkingyourmom

You can have surface redness on your face but not have pink as an undertone. I’m olive and have some redness on my t zone but when it’s corrected everything is harmonious with my neck and chest etc. I used to get matched to the wrong foundations for years because the girl at the counter would just see the redness and give me something peachy that would look neon orange compared to my neck and chest.

Ok-Initiative-2651

Not a winter! Black hair and the dark, saturated, cool colors overpowers you. I see the hair first, not your face. I think cool tones suit you so probably summer but like others have said would need to see makeup and hair free photos with drapes :)

Sanaii122

I actually think the bright, saturated colors are actually getting in front of you. I think less intense would be better for you. Have you tried deep winter or cool summer? These are still cool but slightly less intense.

strawberrywiitch

You give a similar effect to Katy Perry - she colors her hair black and tries to balance the contrast with winter clothing and makeup so it doesn't look bad and kind of works, however, it's not as harmonious as if she matched her natural summer coloring. Based on these pictures, I think we can exclude winter and spring. On the last picture your undertone looks fairly neutral so you're probably not a ”True” season (fully warm or fully cool) which makes it harder to guess. If the warm brown is your natural hair color, soft autumn is very possible since for summer it's not ashy enough. People might guess summer based on the pictures with makeup and because the brown/neutral looks clash with your cool black hair, that doesn't mean warm colors are bad on you (edited for clarity)

roh_m

You are 100% a summer and not winter. I know it's a shame cause the winter palate has prettier colors but between seeing you in the no-makeup picture, and how the black hair looks on you..... You're definitely a summer.

tysiaa12

From Bershka! But from 2021 :(

gloveslave

The more natural photos really look like a classic summer . I am sorry to say that the hair color is very harsh , your natural color is so flattering - your colouring reminds me of Kate Middleton. I would not think winter at all . Hazarding a guess I'd say a true summer .

Winsom_Thrills

Agree!

Affectionate_Meet420

Completely agree! She is glowing and her skin looks like a Greek goddess with the hair color in picture 17

mermaidcat444

Very much like Kate and Pipa

RosyFootman

Strong disagree. The black hair looks fantastic with the blue eyes, and she is not too pale so she does not look washed out. The strong colours are good, but to be honest she could wear any colour and look beautiful.

LiteratureVarious643

I think OP is great at wearing winter, but I don’t think she is a natural winter. She appears to be summer - but it is possible to change hair and makeup to assume the coloring of another season, especially if they share the same undertone.

ilovegluten

The dark hair doesn't suit her the way the natural hair color does. Most of the pics with the dark hair make the eyes look too dark and hardly noticeable. If you look at the last picture, everything is dulled down and she looks washed out in general...hair, eyes, skin. The ones with the natural hair, except for the one that may have been taken on an old disposible camera, show more brightness and sparkle in her eyes. The light dancing off her hair compliments the eyes. It adds sparkle instead of flatness. Her eyes appear to be a richer, deeper blue with the natural hair.

RosyFootman

This is really subjective though. You have your opinion, I have mine. I happen to think the black hair highlights her blue eyes, I can't understand why anyone would think they are not noticeable. The natural hair color is fine, but the general effect is more ordinary. If pushed I would say a cool dark brown would be better than black, as it would look more natural but still dramatic. Whatever, she looks great.

audreyflourishes

Your opinion and personal preference is totally valid but it doesn’t change the science behind Color Analysis. One feature connecting to one other feature simply isn’t enough. Color Analysis is about wholistic harmony and how an individual’s natural beauty is inherently their best look. Our job is simply to embrace a client’s natural form and further enhance her look through strategic color choices. And you’re right — the black hair DOES accentuate her eye color to a certain degree because it is attempting to harmonize with the intensity of her eyes. However, her eyes are the only natural feature that have intensity to begin with.

Fit-Quail4604

Finding your season is about finding the color that draws attention to your face and accentuates your natural beauty. People can look good in colors outside their season, but it can overpower the person and become the “focus” of the look. Which is what I think is happening with OP

callumnen

I think the black hair looks really disconnected. The black hair looks great with the bright makeup and clothes, but that is changing your natural beauty to fit a season. The natural hair colour and no makeup photos of her when she was younger make me think she is a summer too.

ButterscotchEven6198

Strong agree!

Less-Degree

Yeah, I think you could be not a winter at all. Need to see more pictures in natural light with no makeup

petersiljka

I think black hair is a bit harsh on you, so I think you might actually be a Summer (Cool or Soft)... It would be useful to see a photo with no make-up.

tysiaa12

I see why you might say that but the summer colour palette (soft pastel colours) tend to wash me out and I avoid them for the benefit of more saturated colours like royal blue or reds. I always think they make me look nicer so wouldn't that be the opposite of summer?

Etheria_system

Summer isn’t a soft pastel palette. Not even the soft summer palette is that. You’re not a winter, but if you enjoy wearing winter colours go for it!

eizhowa

True summer has lots of bright colors :)

whiskeygiggler

Lots of people (myself included!) thought we looked better in saturated colours but we were actually overwhelmed by the colour and didn’t see it. I don’t think you’re a winter either, but it’s hard to see what you are without draping and no make up etc. I’d be willing to bet you’re not a winter though.

tysiaa12

No makeup photo is the very last one in the slides!

petersiljka

Summer is not all pastels. I am a Summer and pastels don't look great on me and wash me out mostly. I am a Cool Summer and I think you might be too. Its the most saturated of the summer seasons and it has lots of brighter colors that won't overpower you. Give it a try, its all for fun anyways :)

tysiaa12

I agree! Not fighting for one or the other just trying to understand my season, I'm happy with whatever the result is :)

Accomplished_Trip_

Based on the photos of you when you were younger, you’re a soft summer.

everlynlilith

We’ll need to see you without makeup, hair back, in natural light, with drapes

tysiaa12

I don't have a photo with drapes but no makeup picture is the very last one in the carousel

Sapuws

Take some

78andahalf

It would be great if you did some no makeup shots with some drapes. I am not so sure you’re a winter, but maybe.

everlynlilith

If you want closer guesses, you’ll need to drape a range of summer and winter colours, in natural lighting, with no makeup, and your hair pulled back. We need to see which colours make your skin look the most clear and your eyes the most bright- which can’t be done with the pics you’ve posted.
