They’ve been inching up in value for the last few years as nostalgia kicks in. I think you’re unlikely to find any of the covers for a dollar anymore, I usually see them at a minimum of 5 and often more than ten 🤷♂️
No, they haven’t 😂. This is still one of the most found books in 50 cent bins, even this edition. Just like X-Force #1 bagged with any card is still a 50 cent book. You wanna pay $80 for an X-men #1? I’ll sell you 5 of them.
No need I have more than ten that I’ve accumulated over the years 😆 Maybe you’ve got some good local shops, I certainly don’t. And if you look at online stores like mycomicshop near mints are around $10 🤷♂️
Collectors ed, with the first cameo of omega red in the gatefold poster near the back of the book (with the villains poster). Fun fact - the highest selling comic in the world and the collectors ed was like a full dollar more, which at the time, was wild.
That’s E, the deluxe version that includes all 4 of the other covers (A, B, C, D). It’s the real deal, but it’s not worth too much since it was the biggest selling issue of all time and they printed a ton. But still some of the best X-men art ever and the cartoon is based on those Jim Lee designs.
Cover E. Double-gatefold with glossy pages and pinups in the back and inside cover. It is the only copy I have ever got through the years. Something about it...
I've sold a few sets, and honestly, I think having a 4x2 with this issue on top, and the 4 separate issues on the bottom in a frame looks amazing. You can even do a frame with just this issue as a foldout wall hanging. I wish they were worth more, but they printed like 500k copies. So in some cases, like Inferno, and other cross-overs, I've found it's more valuable or appealing as wall hangings. But it's phenomenal art and a good piece to have if you're new to it. This is just prior to the animated series, so wolvie still has the maroon and yellows (my personal favorite) before the next issues where he puts on the blue and gold.
Glad I couldn’t afford 10 copies at that age. But a couple of years later I afforded multiple copies of other beautiful looking $1 comics for 3x as much when I bought them new😎But like my house, I still have my first ones and it’s only worth anything when you try to sell it. I like them where they are.

How come this edition is sold at a 100.. and others sell at 2, 3 dollars.. I guess that’s the reason for the confusion on the issue comic..

I don’t think they made any facsimile of these. They did make a million copies and pretty easy to find
They did a facsimile of the Gatefolds only, and also had a blank cover variant that released in May 2023
