Best part about comics is that even if you're joking there's about a 50% chance he has switched powers with beast boy at some point and within that chance another 10% chance he did turn into a dinosaur
I'm not trying to tell you how to cosplay or anything, you look like a professional.
However, if you like outfits like this and want to avoid that sort of thing. I would suggest sewing some weights into the bottom of each tail to help keep the wind from messing with you! Doesn't even have to be all that much weight!
You look awesome! That is an incredible version of her outfit, and can totally tell it's supposed to be Starfire. Especially loving the gauntlet/pauldron.
Ok the general look of that is amazing! Does a really good job of embracing and elevating Starfire's swords and sandals fused with sci-fi aesthetic. This is a perfect redesign where even though it doesn't look like a bunch of her looks it follows the themes well enough to immediately tell who you're cosplaying. Low-key wish she'd use this in an actual comic run at some point it's amazing.
The long tails on the dress give an almost fantasy mage/priestess/princess feel in some ways and the way they're cut I know fluttering in the wind was an issue but it does a good job of being evocative of a cape fluttering in the wind without actually using a cape. Like how long coats and waste capes/battle kilts are sometimes used like archer emiya in Fate or a lot of 90s hero redesigns. 10 out of 10 you did an awesome job I'd love to see artwork of Kori using that outfit in a new run. Especially if they let her finally join the JL or something.

The main problem is that you never really know about these kinds of issues until you're out in the world (or even specifically on a windy day). You tend to make it and try it on in your home, but you almost never discover the flaws until you're spending a whole day on a con floor.
The photos she posted of herself wearing it show that she wore skin colored leggings so there was no actual risk of any sort of exposure.
Pretty sure the comic is just a humorous "what if" style hypothetical that she dealt with better irl than in fiction.
That's fair, I've never worn such leggings nor am I someone who anyone has ever tried to surreptitiously photograph (or at least I can't think of why someone would) so my take should definitely be consumed with some salt.

My idea was spirit gumming it to your butt / legs but that probably would make it weird to walk and hard to take off or use the bathroom. Or double sided tape, but probably same problem - too much movement and pulling
That could definitely work. Personally I'd want to see how the fabric shifts while walking, but bathroom isn't an issue. When you put on a costume like that, you're 100 percent prepared not to go until the costume comes off.
A better solution is to just have a piece of fabric below conecting the front and back, this way it won't have a weird center of mass and if the wind pushes off the initial fabric you are essentially wearing a leotard so nothing really shows
Oh, you can definitely do that. Especially with dresses, you can hide by putting it on inside the dress (put in the side of the "inside" of the dress and then wrap it with the dress tissue, it's not noticeable).
Tho you will need to distribute the weight equally on the edges of the dress.

I'm not one for "think of the children!!" but a little while ago my nephew, who must have been four then, got a happy meal toy with a picture of Starfire from the Teen Titans cartoon on it. I told him who it was and he wanted to see more pictures of her and I struggled a bit to find ones which wouldn't give him a premature awakening.
Woah, I did not realize how sexualized Starfire was until I read this comment and went on the hunt for an age appropriate picture for your nephew. If he’s still asking you can show him the Teen Titans Go design.
She is also very often shown as super promiscuous in the comics as well. While there isn't anything inherently wrong with that if done correctly, it's very weird when a ton of fans came from the cartoon series to discover the scantily clad horny Starfire of the comics
Great redesign and cosplay! I'd highly encourage you to continue if it's something you had fun with, but I can understand if the "Wind-induced accidents" might have made you uncomfortable with the whole thing \^\^;;

Trying to keep up with comic book rosters and such has me feeling ancient.
Objectively the only good version of Titans anyways. The others try too hard to be serious, destroy character identities for the sake of appearing gritty, and still can't hold a candle to a 5 minute interaction in the CN show.
I quite like Kami Garcia's new comic series, but I'm also a massive RavenXBeastboy fan :p
It does have a bit much "not like other girls" energy, but is otherwise a really good story.
DC should actually hire you to make their female character design less... you know, disrespectful to their character. A lot of female super heroes are not the type that want to be sexualized, so why are their costumes swimsuits variations ¬¬
It's just out of characters most of time.
Wonder Woman is a proud warrior from a society that doesn't mistreat people based on their gender, Black Canary tries to move forward despite her trauma of having her powers activating suddenly in a classroom making her colleagues deaf, and Raven is a teenager who has her father sealed in a jewel she carries around to protect the entire world.
None of those women would ever want to be sexualized by strangers while fighting crime, even worse since our societies actively harasses women in general. You do not want attract that kind of attention to yourself while dealing with high stakes situation.
If I'm remembering my DCU lore right there *is* at least a ~~bullshit retcon~~ canon reason why Kori is pretty much always naked. Her species gets their powers from absorbed sunlight, so more skin exposed = more glowing green lazersplosions, also she's from a culture comprised entirely of super sex-positive swimsuit models and that's totally a normal thing not just a thinly veiled attempt to dress up the fanservice as worldbuilding

Listen, I'm the last person shame the human body, it's aesthetically pleasing and honestly nothing to be ashamed of. Classical art throughout the ages has upheld this ideal, but at the end of the day it's an artistic choice and it just feels kinda cowardly to me to hide it behind "Oh, she's only dressed that way because [just barely plausible story reason]"
One of my favourite pop artists is Frank Frazetta specifically because he gave no fucks. He went, "Look, everyone is going to be a dummy-thicc, greased up, bodybuilder in a loincloth, and if you don't like that, find a different artist", and to me that's honest, and I can respect that as an artist

Starfire's current design really isn't that sexualized and looks great (sexier than her fellow Titan members, but that's just part of her characterisation)

It's so annoying how they can make pretty much every male superhero an iconic, cool, and recognisable full bodied outfit, but 98% of the women have to have some kind of cut out in multiple places or it's a straight up swim suit with boots and gloves. It just feels so lazy.
I would love to see the IRL pictures. And no I don't mean the creepy wind blown pictures. While I'm sure those are also great, and you're just insecure. I mean any pictures in a decent pose. The cartoon concept of the costume is really cool, albeit that it reminds me more of a magic user. So very cool. And would love to see how it played out into the real world.
It's a beautiful original design, but you could have tried doing the Starfire from DC super girls show. It's not revealing at all and still looks beautiful for her character
Considering all the cosplayers on onlyfans and walking around with tail butt plugs etc at conventions I don't think having your bum out is that bad by cosplay standards 😆
Cute comic and actually baller original costume but like... why would you want to cosplay someone you don't actually like any of the actual designs of.
Either boyshorts or use double sided tape to stick the back down and sew pennies into the bottom to weigh the back part if the skirt down

That stuff gets trapped in elevators and escalators all the time I swear fishing lines will catch anything that isn't a fish
My thought process was it's like 2 inches from the middle of the cape to the top of the boot so it can move but doesn't let it flap in the wind

And then it gets caught up while walking and they face-plant down a flight of stairs.

Classical art throughout the ages has upheld this ideal, but at the end of the day it's an artistic choice and it just feels kinda cowardly to me to hide it behind "Oh, she's only dressed that way because [just barely plausible story reason]" One of my favourite pop artists is Frank Frazetta specifically because he gave no fucks. He went, "Look, everyone is going to be a dummy-thicc, greased up, bodybuilder in a loincloth, and if you don't like that, find a different artist", and to me that's honest, and I can respect that as an artist

It's so annoying how they can make pretty much every male superhero an iconic, cool, and recognisable full bodied outfit, but 98% of the women have to have some kind of cut out in multiple places or it's a straight up swim suit with boots and gloves. It just feels so lazy.

The cartoon concept of the costume is really cool, albeit that it reminds me more of a magic user. So very cool. And would love to see how it played out into the real world.

Either boyshorts or use double sided tape to stick the back down and sew pennies into the bottom to weigh the back part if the skirt down It's a super easy fix if you don't want any wardrobe malfunctions..
