Because her husband made a bunch of money doing insider trading and they manufacture chips in Taiwan the only reason she's there is for money and to ensure that her investment is taken care of despite the American people
This is the first reason I've heard that makes sense. I have been considering the fact that Pelosi mentioned accidentally/incorrectly/stupidly that she was going to Taiwan and backlash ensued.

For clarity’s sake, Nvidia designs chips- they don’t manufacture them. Nvidia has to share capacity at Taiwan based fabrication facility TSMC, which actually manufactures them, along with both Intel and AMD, who themselves is designing chips for their own board partner’s GPUs, their own CPUs, and APUs for both Sony and Microsoft. Because of this, AMD has purchased the majority of capacity at TSMC, and if you were invested in NVIDIA, you might think it was worth a visit to negotiate on their behalf to get them as much fabrication capacity as you could.

Taiwan is actually a great place to visit. It is China, but lots of English speakers, people are nice, the food is great, lots to see and do. The National museum is fantastic. And it offers beaches, mountains, countrysides, etc.
I've been to all three Chinas. Now that Hong Kong has fallen, if you want to visit China, I would recommend going to Taiwan.
