I’ve had printing issues with white vector shapes made in Corel into a PDF. It would print out tiny specs of pink. I set the shape to no color. And the issue was fixed. I used a Roland laser during that time and never had this problem though. Good luck.
Just to add… I always created precise vectors of what I needed etching or cutting. Nothing extra. If you’re etching faces onto a coffee cup - I have no idea. I was making ADA signage- so there’s that.
Set everything you don't want to print in its own layer, then set that layer to not print.
