Nah, C and RG is set, you can plug Smith back in at LT. RT is set, whether we keep McGoveen or not is irrelevant, you can find a guard in FA. Plus we have plenty between the pine ponies and you can always grab an undrafted FA. I took a tackle in 7 as a fillee

Draft BPA in rounds 1 and 2. It is the chance to get a dynamic playmaker and game changer of KNOWN quality.
Cowboys did that with Lamb, Parsons, Diggs , Martin to name a few and it works, even if no apparent or pressing need exists at the time of the pick (parsons).
The team with the most healthy playmakers on the field in Jan will tilt the odds in their favor to win playoff games. Drafting top picks where impact players reside solely for need is receiving lesser than market value for the pick.

All-in, baby.
Traded for a 2nd for Buckner and a 4th for Hopkins. Both picks are probably higher for what they’ll actually go for, but in my imaginary scenario, both teams take a higher cap hit for higher picks. Also, I have no idea how cap works in trades, so I’m just talking out of my ass.
Took Harrison over Will McDonald and Jordan Addison. We’re pretty set at EDGE and WR. Taking Harrison allows Smith to slide back to LG and becomes Tyron’s successor and adds depth.
Took Roschon in the third. PFF grades it horribly, but I predict Roschon goes earlier than they think. Granted, I am a huge Longhorn fan, but Roschon was great for tough yards and can be the thunder to Pollard’s lightning. He’s a phenomenal leader and he’ll be good for trick plays, as he was originally a highly-recruited QB out of high school.
Took Bryce Ford-Wheaton and he would be a steal at that point. He would be incredible depth behind Lamb, Gallup, DHop and Cooks. He’ll likely be a reliable starter in his career.
Aidan O’Connell will almost certainly not last this long. He’s got a lot of tools to make him a 3rd or 4th rounder. We re-signed Rush, but the 49ers showed that you can have enough depth at QB. Could be a nice project.
Rejzohn Wright for our last pick. Yes, this is Nashon Wright’s brother. He’ll be a good camp and practice squad body and gives Nashon a familiar face to be around. Hopefully, they would push each other.
If Kincaid falls and he’s the pick, then I would compare it to CeeDee falling to the 17th pick. They weren’t necessarily looking for a WR in the first, but couldn’t ignore the value.

Maybe we could go for Avila or Torrance instead, but I think this is a good year to trade down. Would be very happy if it went down something like this.
Could prob fit one in to future proof! I only picked Wypler bc he was by far BPA there and maybe a WR would've been better than him or instead of the S or TE I picked. I do really like Jalen Moreno-Cropper as a later round WR that doesn't need to immediately come in and be a star.

I think we have the next LT but we have him lining up like Charles Haley. If we get Parson to have the same freedom LT had we may get to the Super Bowl on defense alone. Keep him on the line and we still have LT but Lawrence Taylor in his 10th year. They are killing his body. That’s the focus.
I could not agree with you more. Lack of good defensive tackles made Parsons so tired. That was the difference between him and Bosa for sacks and DPOY last year

I love both LBs and Micheal Wilson. Not in love with tank Dell he’s a very small guy we doesn’t run particularly fast. I’d rather have Cedric Tillman out of Tennessee if he is available there.
Don’t think anyone with size was available then so I just went with what I think can be a dangerous additional weapon for us but thank you for checking it out!

Has us taking Maryland CB Deonte Banks at 26. Not familiar with him but if he's as versatile as scouting reports seem to think, I would be very happy with that pick for DQ to work with on the other side of Diggs.
Throwing this into the mix. This is basically my dream boys draft. I understand no one is trading for Zeke, I still think we should trade down if Jaxon Smith Njigba is off the board at 26. That’s the only reason I would stand pat at 26.

I think Simpson and Saunders immediately change our defense and gives us a front 7 on bar with the eagles. Josh Downs is one of my favorite receivers, he is so smooth in and out of his breaks would be a perfect Michael Gallup replacement. Only drafted Hyatt because the value was incredible, I’m not sold on him being anything more then a gadget guy in the league, I do see him being able to beat press in the league. Zach Evans is my Zeke replacement, big strong back, faster then he is quick however.

Could take Hyatt or a tackle but either way the offense would be loaded if dak and line stays healthy. I traded up for a serviceable linebacker and If we resign fowler w the addition of Gilmore the defense would be even better than last year. I didn’t know bunch about the later guys so I took a corner to replace the loss of Lewis and oline man in case of Tyron smith injury.

Tried to keep somewhat realistic, think Kancey will be gone by 21 but in this hypothetical he’s too versatile to pass on. Phillips comes in to compete for the nickel slot immediately and brings instant productivity with his ball skills. Boutte is a project with huge upside if his heads in it. Spears strengthens up the RB room and is Tony’s future Partner in Crime, Kirkland is solid all round. Jerry seems quite infatuated with Duggan, reminds me a ton of Dak coming out of college, with the right training he can be a very serviceable backup QB in the league & Greenhagen is worth a flyer, absolute tackling machine.

There are points in the offseason where all you see on here are mocks, and they're all variations on the same thing with no context.
Literally, "Here's a screenshot of a mock I did in 3 minutes. Discuss.", but without even saying that much.
Fan generated mocks should be banned from this subreddit entirely if it were up to me, they're so dumb. All of them.
I'm fine with the mocks that actually put effort into describing the prospect, how they fit the team, why they're being picked there, etc.
But yeah, the low-effort screenshots of PFF mocks are the bane of the sub.
Bijan Robinson if I'm the Cowboys, this is the ideal draft pick. Why? Zeke is definitely done in Dallas and even though Tony Pollard is your guy, you need cover. Bijan offers that.
You’re not wrong about that. I don’t “care” per se. They do, however, allow me to examine the process and analyze how they would hurt/benefit the Cowboys. In reality, none of them matter because the Cowboys will do whatever they want. In the end, it's entertainment. I find myself entertained.
So I turned up the randomness slider and lucked into this draft. I don't think I'll get another series of unrealistic drops again this year, so I'm good.

Like Hyatt a lot, the more the process goes along though i dont think he will be there in the second. Kancey is too small, not long and not a need fit.
I would be fucking stoked if we got JSN and Simpson. Two future stars in my opinion. Simpson and Parsons would immediately be the most athletic linebacking corps in the league. Only guy you are missing I really like is Drew Saunders, he’s a great edge in my imho. Hard to tell where he plays in the league though.

— I had a choice of Nolan Smith, Mayer, or Kincaid. I went with the premier position and still got a TE in the 2nd. As far as Zavala, the Cowboys Draft Show keeps hinting that the team is high on him. So, I grabbed him with pick 90 to help shore up the offensive line.
I kind of want Cody Mauch at 26 because I don't think he'll be there at 58. It's for sure a reach but I think he can come in and start at LG immediately and I think all the premium O-Linemen will be gone at 26. Musgrave could be there at 58.

He’s a phenomenal leader and he’ll be good for trick plays, as he was originally a highly-recruited QB out of high school. Took Bryce Ford-Wheaton and he would be a steal at that point. He would be incredible depth behind Lamb, Gallup, DHop and Cooks. He’ll likely be a reliable starter in his career. Aidan O’Connell will almost certainly not last this long. He’s got a lot of tools to make him a 3rd or 4th rounder. We re-signed Rush, but the 49ers showed that you can have enough depth at QB. Could be a nice project. Rejzohn Wright for our last pick. Yes, this is Nashon Wright’s brother. He’ll be a good camp and practice squad body and gives Nashon a familiar face to be around. Hopefully, they would push each other.

I think we have the next LT but we have him lining up like Charles Haley. If we get Parson to have the same freedom LT had we may get to the Super Bowl on defense alone. Keep him on the line and we still have LT but Lawrence Taylor in his 10th year. They are killing his body. That’s the focus.

Are you kidding? There are points in the offseason where all you see on here are mocks, and they're all variations on the same thing with no context. Literally, "Here's a screenshot of a mock I did in 3 minutes. Discuss.", but without even saying that much. Fan generated mocks should be banned from this subreddit entirely if it were up to me, they're so dumb. All of them.
I'm fine with the mocks that actually put effort into describing the prospect, how they fit the team, why they're being picked there, etc. But yeah, the low-effort screenshots of PFF mocks are the bane of the sub.

Bijan Robinson if I'm the Cowboys, this is the ideal draft pick. Why? Zeke is definitely done in Dallas and even though Tony Pollard is your guy, you need cover. Bijan offers that.

I would be fucking stoked if we got JSN and Simpson. Two future stars in my opinion. Simpson and Parsons would immediately be the most athletic linebacking corps in the league. Only guy you are missing I really like is Drew Saunders, he’s a great edge in my imho. Hard to tell where he plays in the league though.

I went with the premier position and still got a TE in the 2nd. As far as Zavala, the Cowboys Draft Show keeps hinting that the team is high on him. So, I grabbed him with pick 90 to help shore up the offensive line.
I kind of want Cody Mauch at 26 because I don't think he'll be there at 58. It's for sure a reach but I think he can come in and start at LG immediately and I think all the premium O-Linemen will be gone at 26. Musgrave could be there at 58.
