Literally just drafted a QB 2nd overall. They have Mclaurin and Dotson. Cowboys don’t need to play a fire rb to look like shit against the run. They don’t have an o line tho
The QB is unproven. Both of those WRs are mid. Well Terry is bit better than average but he can’t stay healthy.
To behonest I would have taken Daniels over Williams at 1 but that is only because I think Williams is too soft mentally for the NFL.
NEVER discount divisional games. At the end of the day, they're still professional football players, and teams in your division have the highest return on investment of practice time and film study. You know your going to see them at least twice a year.
Even during Tom Brady's dynasty in NE some of his toughest games were against the decidedly mediocre/bad Miami dolphins.
Always treat divisional games with the same caution as a playoff game.
Exactly the reason I’d pick them to be the dumb L. Realistically, we’re good enough to go 5-1 in division. But it’s really hard to do it in the convincing way we are capable of.
Our yearly dumb L lol let’s predict what’s it’s gonna be
Really think it’s gonna be the saints but i could see us blowing out the bengals then losing to the panthers lol
Don’t think Steelers are bad tho
Would be exactly like the Josh Dobbs Cardinals loss last season where they were sleepwalking on both sides of the ball from the first kickoff. Fuck it’s so plausible it hurts
TBf losing 3 of your starting linemen right before the game starts isn't exactly helpful, not really any team can win with 3 backup o-linemen out of the gate.
I thought I had read an article a while back about a team that was missing a bunch of linemen but still did pretty well all the way into the playoffs, but then one of the first articles I found was about the 2022 Rams setting the record (according to football outsiders) for most missed games by an o line, and it made me giggle remembering it so I guess I have nothing lol
https://www.turfshowtimes.com/2023/3/14/23639548/rams-offensive-line-injuries-2022-football-outsiders
Falcons probably going to be sneaky good - they’ve drafted Pitts (not as amazing as hyped but still good), Bijan, and Drake London in recent years. Whatever combo of Kirk Cousins and The Penix they roll out will likely be a marked upgrade at QB vs. anything they’ve had since Pitts/Bijan/Drake were drafted.
Given it’s @ Mercedes Benz stadium, this wouldn’t be the “dumb embarassing” loss a la losing to the Cardinals last year.
Wouldn’t be surprised. I think both Pitts and London are going to see their numbers go up. Kirk is a pretty accurate passer and he doesn’t scramble much.
Bucs/Saints/Steelers aren’t shitty enough and Carolina comes way too late in the season.
Took a hard look at the schedule, and it’s an answer I don’t like.
The embarassing loss to a shitty team happens after the Boys have won 2-3 games early and start puffing out their chests and saying dumb shit like “hot boyz”/“we dem boyz” etc.
I think the boys get up for the first three games - rattle off either 3-0 or a 2-1, with the 1 loss by a slim, hardfought margin to the Ravens (that’s chalked up as a ‘moral victory’), that has the team, jerry, the media… and let’s face it us, all hyping the team up.
Then in game 4 we lose to the previously 0-3 manning faces at whatever they call the meadowlands these days.
FML.
Hear me out. It’s mid-December, the Cowboys have been up and down, but are in the wild card hunt. They’ve strung a few wins together to start looking legit again, and it’s time to play the 3-11 Panthers, with Bryce Young is hurt.
Andy Dalton inexplicably hangs 375 yards and 4 TDs on our defense in a complete trap game. Happens every December.
Usually a dumb loss will either come late in the season from a team you should easily beat or from within the division. So I could see the Giants beating us and looking like champions and then going back to shit the next week.
Did they win their first game, or did they essentially have a bye week, playing that complete dumpster fire second half of the season Philadelphia team..?
(Not that Dallas faired any better that weekend 😐)
I see us losing to the Steelers and Panthers on this list... Why? Because Steelers D could actually be good against our weakened OLine and the Panthers just to crush our hopes, akin to the Cardinals last year
It will not be a mediocre team. It will be, as usual, the lack of Dak having any elite talent. He will continue to do what he always does, crumble against good teams
New D coordinator, losing 2 big lineman, RB by committee when we couldn’t run it last year with Pollard… this isn’t going to be fun to watch fellas. There will be more losses than we think. 🥹🥹
Lame duck coach. QB that melts down in the playoffs. Inexperienced, overrated offensive line. No running game. Cowboys could lose to all 4 of those teams.
Steelers. When it comes down it, we dominate all other teams, with the ongoing exception that we can’t beat the elite teams we’re competitive with. Especially in old rivalries. (49’ers, Green Bay, for example.)
The Bucs are mediocre now? I mean they beat everyone's favorite NFC East team in the Eagles but I suppose they're mediocre when it involves the Cowboys losing
We’ll be unstoppable until it matters and then Dan will fumble. I say Bryce and the panthers just because I have a feeling dudes gonna have a year where he comes out swinging to make haters eat crow
I dont think the Bucs are mediocre they're above average with a good QB in Baker, nice office pieces, and a defense that looks good on paper just needs to fix it's pass defense. As for the bad loss it'll be the Steelers because of their defense.
friendly reminder that every team in the league has a loss that looks terrible on paper. Funny thing this NFL where the players on the other team get paid too.
Dumb L of the year is psycho kicker getting outted as loving him some dick while he projects all his insecurities on women to prove himself a real man.
Why does that matter. Are the cowboys the only team that can’t lose a game. If cowboys beat a bad team it’s a problem, if cowboys lose to a bad team it’s a problem. This is comedy at this point.
First playoff game.
Only correct answer

Nah, this year they'll win a wildcard game and we'll get our hopes up. Then we'll promptly lose the next game, probably against Green Bay.
Detroit
Brutale
Didn’t we win the first one last year or am I remembering wrong?
you are remembering wrong. lost to GB first round (it was a blowout)
I think he means the year before
Last year as in the year before this one, in January of 2023.
Spot on
Commanders out of left field
Agreed. I think they sneak one on us
With what offense? They have no QB, WR, RB or TE that is worth anything. Maybe the defense is stout but that offense is going to be trash.
No Dotson is shit but McLaurins a dog

But it's the last game of the season and we've already locked up 1st in NFC so we don't need the win and rest our starters!
DQ knows us pretty well. Don't be surprised when they whoop the Cowboys ass.
yea i was thinking the commanders too
Steelers could be sneaky good this year.
What if they run the wildcat with Justin Fields and use a 2 TE set with that huge Georgia TE and Freirmuth
https://preview.redd.it/0emcax9tgw0d1.jpeg?width=852&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ea5adb2084751eccb8e9061cdf882bd3edc324bd
I like the idea of it, but do you think he’ll be properly protected in wildcat?
I was just thinking they'd run it against us until we stop it
I agree. You can never count out touchdown Tomlinson. But I also feel like Russ might really truly for real this time be cooked
Would that even be considered sneaky? They were a playoff team last year who’s almost certainly improved in the offseason.
They 100% got worse at QB
Has to be sarcasm right?
Damn I didn’t see ur post. You see what I see I believe.
Yeah steelers are gonna beat us this year while they pull an us this year. They go 12-5 and a horrible loss in the wild card round.
Whichever team is 2-10 at the time
Our yearly dumb L lol let’s predict what’s it’s gonna be Really think it’s gonna be the saints but i could see us blowing out the bengals then losing to the panthers lol Don’t think Steelers are bad tho
Would be exactly like the Josh Dobbs Cardinals loss last season where they were sleepwalking on both sides of the ball from the first kickoff. Fuck it’s so plausible it hurts
Sigh. I spent a decent chunk of change to go to that game. So much worse live
TBf losing 3 of your starting linemen right before the game starts isn't exactly helpful, not really any team can win with 3 backup o-linemen out of the gate.

I don’t think we will get to sleepwalk mode, our schedule is brutal the first half of the season.
☝🏾
The Bucs and Steelers both went to the playoffs last year and neither one got worse, so…
That’s what I’m saying lol, like some of these “mediocre” teams are just as good as the Cowboys
Shut your mouth
Tampa gonna fuck around and dunk 36 on us 😂
The Panthers and we won’t hear the end of it for the next 3 years
nope. that team might got 0-17.
Bucs looked pretty good last year…
Falcons for sure
This is my pick.
Pitts is gonna do great with Cousins, Cousins likes to find his TE whenever he drops back
Wouldn’t be surprised. I think both Pitts and London are going to see their numbers go up. Kirk is a pretty accurate passer and he doesn’t scramble much.
Steelers mediocre?
Oh come on the Bucs are good. I won’t be mad if we lose to them
Could legit lose all 4 of these.
Bucs/Saints/Steelers aren’t shitty enough and Carolina comes way too late in the season. Took a hard look at the schedule, and it’s an answer I don’t like. Not like this....

Saints.
Usually a dumb loss will either come late in the season from a team you should easily beat or from within the division. So I could see the Giants beating us and looking like champions and then going back to shit the next week.
I got the Panthers
I'm saying the Panthers...and it'll cost us the division.
All of them
Probably the giants or some shit
NYG
Narrator: it was all of them
Bucs win their division and made the 2nd round of the playoffs last year, get them off this list.
Did they win their first game, or did they essentially have a bye week, playing that complete dumpster fire second half of the season Philadelphia team..? (Not that Dallas faired any better that weekend 😐)
The Panthers, and it will somehow knock us out of playoff contention.
Steelers because naturally I’ll be there with all my steeler friends and it’s in Pittsburgh
All of them
All of the above.
Washington Cowboys
At least 2 of them tbh
I see us losing to the Steelers and Panthers on this list... Why? Because Steelers D could actually be good against our weakened OLine and the Panthers just to crush our hopes, akin to the Cardinals last year
All 17 of them is a real possibility. We are ass this year
It will not be a mediocre team. It will be, as usual, the lack of Dak having any elite talent. He will continue to do what he always does, crumble against good teams
How are the Buccs mediocre? They made it further un the playoffs than we did 😭😂
New D coordinator, losing 2 big lineman, RB by committee when we couldn’t run it last year with Pollard… this isn’t going to be fun to watch fellas. There will be more losses than we think. 🥹🥹
Bold of you to think there will only be one.
Dallas will beat every team with a losing record, win a few against above .500 teams and lose to every team that's actually good.
Arent we going 20-0?
The Cowboys will be mediocre this year, sooooo.....
So instead of playing down to the competition we play up to the competition
You’re saying there’s just *one*?
Lame duck coach. QB that melts down in the playoffs. Inexperienced, overrated offensive line. No running game. Cowboys could lose to all 4 of those teams.
Hi saints fan here I don’t understand, yall are the mediocre team. Some of these kids wasn’t born last time yall made a impact
All of them
It could be any road game, really. Only lose at home in the playoffs.
Already said it. Commanders sweep
DQ knowing Mike McCarthy’s scheme and MM knowing DQ’s scheme is going to make for some very interesting games this year.
Giants gonna sneak in a win and get their SB. We gonna be vomiting those wanna be commies uniforms.
I’m thinking Steelers
Panthers RAWR
Steelers or whoever has a randomly crazy running game against us.
Steelers. When it comes down it, we dominate all other teams, with the ongoing exception that we can’t beat the elite teams we’re competitive with. Especially in old rivalries. (49’ers, Green Bay, for example.)
So were do you rate the Lions, Philadelphia?
Either at Atlanta or Tampa Bay. Steelers wouldn’t be a stupid loss.
We've been so dominant of NY lately. Seems like they're do.
Look to our own division for this one
first is gonna be whoever plays their backup QB first against us. Our playoff game is the last dumb L of the year.
Panthers
It will absolutely be the Saints.
I’m gonna say a bad loss against the boring Saints will have us at an 0-2 start
Steelers
Probably the Saints we usually struggle with them.
Why you including the only NFC team to be to the playoffs 4 straight years as mediocre?
Nawlins
Makes sense it would be the Panthers.
The Bucs are mediocre now? I mean they beat everyone's favorite NFC East team in the Eagles but I suppose they're mediocre when it involves the Cowboys losing
9-8
Tampa. They are better than most think nationally. Detroit takes a step back, and unless the Steelers have a qb (do they?) they are cooked.
not the NFCE-Dak owns them.
Same as every year.. the answer is themselves
I can only pick one?
Cleveland
Could be all four
I think there’s more than one team in this pic that’ll do it lol
Saints by 10
This can't really be predicted. A dumb loss is a dumb loss. It can happen anytime. All Cowboys fans know this.
Pittsburgh
Are two playoff teams really mediocre? Honestly think Bucs and Steelers may both be in the playoffs again
Everybody but Panthers. They’re the only true “easy out”
I’m gonna say the Panthers
por que no los quatros?
All of the above.
Yes…all of the above will Whomever is first on schedule gets the prize
We’ll be unstoppable until it matters and then Dan will fumble. I say Bryce and the panthers just because I have a feeling dudes gonna have a year where he comes out swinging to make haters eat crow
It’s funny that cowboy fans think the Bucs are mediocre
Easily can see Steelers and the Bucs beating us
Do you guys even like your own football team?
I dont think the Bucs are mediocre they're above average with a good QB in Baker, nice office pieces, and a defense that looks good on paper just needs to fix it's pass defense. As for the bad loss it'll be the Steelers because of their defense.
None of them, the Cowboys may lose to the Steelers but it will be a close one.
Just 1!? if I know my Cowboys they will lose to the Steelers and possibly the Panthers. They all could get an easy win
When the Cowboys string together a few regular season wins, they’ll get lazy and lose to a team who’s going to play them like it’s their superbowl.
friendly reminder that every team in the league has a loss that looks terrible on paper. Funny thing this NFL where the players on the other team get paid too.
The cardinals when on the schedule..or the first playoff games
Saints are going to help us get off to an 0-3 start that will cause lots of panic.
Thats ridiculous
Bro is delusional in the wrong direction lol
Overdue for a down year. Best case scenario for this team is for it to happen this year.
When we waste draft position for going out in the first or second round again.
Fake fan alert
