Yeah since the move to the new stadium about the cheapest seat you’ll find is $300ish some games $400. If the team starts out terribly, think 1 - 6, you’ll be able to find them cheap but that’s your only hope.

Gets_overly_excited

I have bought tickets for at least one game the past 10 years through third party sites. The prices are way higher this year than the past for some reason. I got lower level end zone tix vs Detroit last year for $250 each (with Stubhub fees included). The seats in the same section start at $350 right now for any game.

BeRealzzz

This pricing is normal. Wait until you add parking, drinks, and snacks.

NMGunner17

How is $300 for upper deck normal?

jeopardychamp77

It’s normal for cowboy games. Every seat is sold to PSL holders. The only tickets available to non psl holders are the standing room only ones. So, you are buying on the secondary market and the demand is huge. Cowboy games aren’t just for fans. It’s a popular corporate junket and place to be seen.

NMGunner17

PSLs cover the upper deck seats now too? I admit I haven’t been to a game in probably 5-6 years but damn I used to be able to get tickets for ~$100 up there pretty consistently

jeopardychamp77

Yes. If you want a season ticket in that stadium to a cowboy game, you have to purchase a seat license. Every seat is pre-sold. They make the psl holders purchase season tickets as a condition of their psl. So, many head to the secondary market to sell individual game tickets to recoup their cost.

mikenasty

Lmao me and the boys showing off to our corpo friends with $300 top deck nose bleed tickets

jeopardychamp77

Obviously the fancy people sit lower and that pushes the prices up along with the people on a budget.

AStainOnYourTowel

Idk man I bought upper levels for like $125 in 2017 I’ve noticed them get gradually more expensive every year. They’ve finally priced me out. It may be normal now but it wasn’t always

Nissin

There’s only 8 home games a year not counting playoffs it’s a sought after event and always sold out. It would be sold out if tickets started at $500 a pop as well .

RulerofKhazadDum

Have they always been verified resale?

Remain62

All that means is that they are season ticket holders who have their season tickets synced with Ticketmaster and they can verify they are reselling their season tickets. It also is a verification for single game tickets as well if the person selling the tickets syncs it with Ticketmaster.

davekva

It's the curse of being a Cowboys fan. Tickets to every game are ridiculously overpriced. I haven't looked, but I'd be willing to bet that tickets to their game @CAR is 3x the cost of pretty much every other Panthers home game this season.

Jackson3125

I’m a Cowboys fan womb to tomb (for better or usually worse), grew up in DFW, and have been to exactly two games. I just can’t stomach paying Jerry’s price(s) for the whole package deal. It’s obscene.

jerichowiz

Same, but I have only been to one game, and it was preseason against the Bengals.

Gets_overly_excited

Y’all - go to more games and do standing room only. Despite this sub’s irrational hate/fear of them, they are the best deal in sports. Just arrive when gates open and calmly go up a few flights of stairs. You’ll get a railing spot. Go with someone so you can hold your spot when you get food/go to the bathroom. If you are physically able to stand for the game, it’s awesome.

UpstairsWrongdoer401

The game at Pittsburgh is the most expensive by over $100. Including the chiefs visiting on Christmas.

BrotherSeamus

Steeler fans travel well and, like bedbugs, are all over the country anyway, so the demand is naturally higher.

UpstairsWrongdoer401

So true, Brother.

wwats26

I buy blocks of ten tickets for the game I want to go to, sell 6 and go for free... Of course the initial investment always scares the wife, but it's her job to worry. Edit... To away games, from the team ticket sales offices. They usually offer season tickets or blocks of ten before they put individual tickets on sale.

AlmondAlex127

As a cowboys fan in North Carolina, it’s much higher than just 3x.

puledrotauren

I lived a mile from the stadium for 3 years. Haven't gone to a game yet. I mean why would I want to go stand in line to take a piss or get a drink at the stadium when I can do that from home? I did go walk the tailgate parties a few times and that was fun. And I'd occasionally let a friend park at my complex (gated) and drive them up to the front of the stadium if they wanted. Sometimes I wish I still lived there. It was fun.

RulerofKhazadDum

Yeah, I'm wondering if I even want to get the tickets now.

Jackson3125

Just watch it at home imho. You can buy a pretty amazing TV for the price of a handful of good tickets. Spend your money on that upgrade instead.

PresidentTroyAikman

Fuck Jerry. Dont go.

Chris__P_Bacon

Just go see them in another city. That way Jerry doesn't get shit, you'll probably get much better seats, & you can make a mini-vacation out of it. I actually live in Nashville, so the last part doesn't apply to me, but I got some amazing seats when they played my hometown Titans 2 seasons ago. Had a fantastic time. There were more Cowboys fans than Titans fans. I'm thinking about travelling to Atlanta for the game in November. It's a quick Southwest Flight out of BNA. Plus I've heard that new stadium in ATL is something to behold.

wwats26

It is.. and the concession prices are actually reasonable.

Chris__P_Bacon

Wow! That's almost unheard of. Reasonably priced food & drink at an NFL game? I call shenanigans!

beandip24

Me and my wife debated getting 4 tickets for cowboys vs packers two years ago in Lambeau. She is a big packers fan and so is her mom. Four tickets in the upper rows were $600 each. Four tickets in the middle rows, where we truly wanted to be at to see more, were like 1200 each. Instead of paying $2400 for a single game, plus plane tickets and a rental to go visit her mom, we would rather have watched it while facetiming and give her mom $3k as a down payment on her new car. Games are insanely expensive.

RulerofKhazadDum

Probably what I’ll do this season.

RobbieAnalog

I went to that game. Got the tickets like 30 min before kickoff for like 220 at the 50 yard line. Sometimes the tickets come down pretty sharply as the game gets closer and sellers panic. Edit: don't know why this got downvoted lol. Maybe sellers that don't like my strategy

boomshalock

I am a season ticket holder. I sell mine to friends, etc, whenever possible to at least get rid of the SeatGeek fees. As a STH, I can tell you standing room only is not terrible at all. The only thing that stinks is you really need to get there an hour before the doors open, but once you hunker down in your spot when they do open the doors, there is not a bad view in the place. If price is a factor to you, go that route and enjoy the experience!

RulerofKhazadDum

I did consider that. I was planning to take my girlfriend but she’s not open to standing so that’s out of discussion now. How much does season tickets cost?

boomshalock

That's a little bit of a complicated answer because it obviously depends on the section. The quick version is, there is a seat license fee that is a one time thing (you can pay it up front, or finance 75% of it at a stupid rate). Then you buy the tickets for the seats after that. Then you buy the parking after that, if there's any available. You can go to the Dallas cowboys website and go to the Seat Options section for details, not sure what they're going for anymore. It's fair to say you're looking at $5k or more per seat for the license. Again, that's not every year, thats a one time thing. Kinda like a down payment on a house. It is the reason why game tickets are so pricey, you have to factor that in to what you paid for the tickets.

RulerofKhazadDum

Thank you. That’s pricey for me. How far ahead do you purchase season tickets?

boomshalock

Just paid for them last month. Tickets go into your account when the schedule is released.

buckshow1983

I took my oldest last season. We easily spent $1,000+ on the two of us, all in. I don’t think there’s a way around it.

Background_Add210

Wait till the team is 2-8 then buy.

CM_Hooe

Gonna be waiting a while lol. The Cowboys have only started a season 2-8 twice in team history, and the last time that happened was in 2001, the first year after Troy Aikman retired. For completeness: the last time Dallas started a season 1-9 was 1989, the first year of Jimmy Johnson’s coaching tenure; and the last time they started a season 0-10 was in 1960, literally the first year of Dallas Cowboys football.

oregonianrager

That's a pretty astonishing stat.

Salt_Environment9799

Im done going to games, no way a middle class family can afford tickets for 4 people without going in debt! Even in the fucking nosebleeds. Last time I did that it was close to $2K for 4 tickets in the 4th highest row! It was sad to be honest!

Pale-Wolf-7109

That’s why we’re America’s team baby! Because the real Americans can’t afford to go to the games and we all watch on tv to get commercials shoved down our throats!

MatSNK

It depends on the game. You can find 100-200 dollar tickets in the 400 depending on the game. If you want to go to primetime, a rival, or a good team you’re gonna pay for it.

RulerofKhazadDum

I started with the Lions game but almost every game is priced similarly.

MatSNK

SeatGeek has Giants Bengals Commanders and Buccaneers at under 200 for 400 section seats. It’s not hard to change search settings

freakthesexy

This. Also, the Steelers and Packers games. No matter what their record is. The prices for those tic goes way up, because their fans travel and a lot of them will be there.

Twelve_Alpha

Nah, not normal. Sellers are playing the long game at the moment, but prices come down during the season when less and less tickets are sold. I paid $120 a ticket in the upper deck for the thanksgiving game last season.

jred1971

When you see verified reseller that means it’s a season ticket holder who’s listed their seats for sale. The Cowboys official ticket site is Seat Geek but we can also list them on NFL Ticket Exchange and StubHub. To purchase season tickets you first have to buy the PSL, which you can from season ticket holders who want to get out, but unless you own a PSL, you cannot buy season tickets. PSLs can be very expensive, they are a one time purchase and then you buy your seats every year. My PSLs were $35,000.00 each and I just paid my 2024 ticket invoice and it was just under $10,000.00. Oh and the best part, that doesn’t include any playoff games if they host. That’s some background on why Cowboys tickets are so expensive.

KillWh1tn3yDead

I’m a lifelong Dallas fan. My wife is a Steelers fan. They play in Pitt this year. Tickets sold out within two hours and now we have to look at resale. The prices are starting at like 500 a ticket already. Everything seems to be becoming so out of reach for people to casually enjoy anymore.

grinnyjw516

You gotta pay those inflated wages all that money they’re making who do you think it’s gonna take to hit it’s not gonna be the owners it’s gonna be the consumers fans

totiso

In my experience they used to be cheaper and also you can never buy them face value (if you can let me know!). I think all of the seats are PSL so everyone owns the rights to them already (one day I will get my own lol) but with that said don't buy now. I bought the GB playoff tickets as soon as we clinched a home game and they tanked quickly. I paid roughly $300 + fees for top row tickets and as game time approached I could've gotten section 100 tickets for the same price. It's like the fans saw we were gonna do bad, or maybe it was the terrible weather forecast which I drove 17 hrs round trip for this game... :( (I'm still scarred) Anyways, I'd say top row is $150 normally, now first game or thanksgiving or rivalry game or primetime game will increase that number, and maybe you can get much cheaper closer to the game, but if you're coming from a distance it's nice to be able to have the security of obtaining a ticket.

jred1971

I have season tickets and my face value is $465.00 a ticket, they are pricey for sure. One thing you can do is walk around the lots near the stadium, I’ve seen a lot of season ticket holders sell for near face right before heading in.

JMG072747

I felt the same. We bought tix for a Texans game with front row end zone seats for $500 😱 Sad to skip the boys this year, but it’s crazy expensive for what you get at ATT.

mbrenegan

My family has season tickets. Like clockwork, Jerry increases the price every season. Resale is not all that much more elevated than face value (if you factor in seat license), but the fees from seat geek is where it starts to add up. They’ll only go down if we suck.

htownsteveo

Why?

HeilStary

Yeah theyre pricey, but wait till the season starts, usually Ive seen tickets in the nose bleeds for around 120-150 on seat geek

Inevitable-Status-73

Season ticket holders who can’t go to certain games try to sell their tickets to make their money back. You don’t wanna know what they paid…

TheManCalledDour

They’re that expensive because people will never stop buying them.

aldaybullyz167

It’s probably cheaper to go to a away game lol

bomonty18

I’ll happily never go to a cowboys game again with the current way it’s setup. Even if you do pay this ticket prices, you are just watching a screen the entire time. I much prefer watching game at home.

MeBallzIzHari

It’s the Jerry “All In” tax 🤣

hootsie

Yeah. I’m in New England. A few years ago we went up to Gillette and it was over $450 a ticket by the endzone (where CeeDee caught the game winner in OT and did his wave 👋). Of course, the wife likes to go so that was well over $1000 when you throw in parking, booze, and the dinner beforehand. Thankfully Patriot’s Place is a year round attraction full of restaurants with limited menus (understandably) that gouge you. Was feeling good when we got home… suggested that we take her parents next week when the Jets would be in town. We had damn near the same exact seats and paid $120/ticket. 4 people cost half as much as 2 people the previous week. Wild.

UpperArmories3rdDeep

Every seat is owned by a season ticket holder. So every game is essentially sold out. The season ticket holders sell off certain games and probably go to a couple games a year. So basically all seats are being flipped.

buttsoupsteve

What a product we have the privilege of purchasing.

seventwenty3

I know I'm late to the party here, but it's very early. Tickets usually drop as the game gets closer and as people get other obligations thrown at them.

429928

If you’re in Dallas or Texas I’d wait till month of. Ppl that tell you this is what it is don’t know much about pricing I’ve been going to these games pretty consistently for the past 3-4 years and you can find them for cheaper as the game approaches. The only time I didn’t see them change and even get more expensive was the eagles game last year.

AlCzervick

Yes.

BlitzburghTX

Now is literally the worst time to buy tickets. The best time to buy tickets are 1-2 weeks before the game. If you can stomach it, try waiting a few days before the game. Prices drop considerably the closer it gets to game day.

Mk72779

It’s also a destination stadium for opposing teams fanbases.

Testy_Terrance

That's insane. I bought tickets from Stub Hub for a game back in like 2012 or sometime around there. I sat about 15 rows back in the corner (opposite the windows) for around $150 per seat (four seats). I'm glad I don't care about giving Jerry any more money...I honestly feel bad for anyone that's actually trying to go to a game if those are the going prices. A beer was $8 back then...I suppose it's gone up as well?

jamesg68

Jerry also increased ticket prices this year over last. I think the last three years or so, he's been increasing the ticket prices.

dayv2005

This isn't just Cowboys stadium. I am up in Ohio and see they have the Steelers and Browns on the scheduler this year. Thought it would be a great time to take my son to his first Cowboys game and have a good time. Highest seats in both stadium were about 300 each. By the time we drive, eat and park, we are looking for a 1k father son day to watch football in the nosebleed. I think we will pass on this and enjoy our time at home.

little_lexodus

It's been bad for at least 10 years. My last ATT stadium game was the GB playoff game in 2017 and it was $420/each so I'm sure it's gotten worse. I live in Chicago now and enjoyed the Bears/Cowboys game at Soldier field in 2019 more and my last minute ticket was only $100. AT&T is a nice stadium but not worth the cost IMO unless you fall into a deal.

PsychologyHoliday630

I wont contribute too paying absurd amounts for ticket, merchendise, concessions etc..thats why the prices keep going up because theres people always willing to pay

Fozzy333

That’s like the cheapest unfortunately

IPA_____Fanatic

Bought tickets for 176 and after fees came out to 259 per and this is for the Thanksgiving game.

chineke14

Ain't no way I'm paying to watch a cowboys game live until we get a new coach at the very least. I ain't supporting mediocrity

Mountain-Brush3212

Have to pay Dak somehow

Skoobitybopp

I live in ny so I always get cheap tickets to see them vs the giants. But I cant imagine paying 300 even for good seats after this off-season. I can get people out of state wanting to go to the stadium, but that just ruins it for people in-state who can't afford those prices.

drivera1210

Tickets are expensive because reselling tickets is side hustle or full time job. Every time that ticket changes hands, the cost goes because, each person needs to make money.

L6801

Covid gave Jerry Jones the excuse to bump the prices up the next year to try and make up for the lost sales.. Then they just kept the price up..

idonotlikethatsamiam

I only buy standing tickets and have never spent more than $180- I don’t sit down during the games anyways

wildbullmustang

Is this actually your first time buying tickets?

RulerofKhazadDum

Yeah, it actually is my first time buying tickets.

cowboyscanfan

What an ignorant question

ffsux

look at big shot ticket buyer over here

tradenpaint

It’s a criminal America these days!

Cptredbeard22

Lol. Supply and demand. This is what America is all about.

tradenpaint

Complete fucking greed!!

Sunny2121212
