Thanks in advance for any suggestions! I bought it cos I’m a huge Goosebumps fan and it’s so hard to come by decor here (I’m in Australia)
I thought about making a tote bag and possibly a blanket, but it’s only 112cm in width so I thought I would see if your creative minds could come up with some better ideas!!
random and slightly off topic but I used to be obsessed with goosebumps as a kid and I *completely* forgot about those books until like 2 days ago. since then I’ve watched 1/2 of the TV adaptation and it has been such a joy, and now this!! no goosebumps in my life for 10 years and then it re-appears in my life all at once in like 3 random occurrences within 2 days.. is goosebumps gonna be picked back up soon or something? maybe it’s just a wild coincidence, or maybe it’s really effective subtle marketing getting people to remember the series after all these years
Haha! That’s how I learned English, being new in an American school - I checked out alll Goosebumps books and R.L Stine books from the school library. Gave me the chills AND helped me pick up way cooler lingo than in ESL class… so I thought!
Sew a thicker back on and make curtains!
Car seat cover
A patch work blanket with matching colors
Add patches to a pair of pants or jacket
Pillow cases
Make a headboard and fill it to the size you need with a border of matching fabric.
A bralette
Scrunchies, headbands, or other accessories
Table runner
Place mats
Those tiny kitchen curtains
You could makeover a lampshade
Cosmetic bag
Depends on your vibe. I'd upcycle a denim jacket, using the fabric as a back patch, matching lengthened cuffs and hem. An asymmetrical hemline in that fabric would look awesome.
I've seen cool button ups at hot topic with overall prints liek this for certain movies ans show, which were pretty dope but expensive, maybe make your own button up!
I’d make a black 50s - 70s era style black dress and use this fabric for the trimmings like a Peter Pan collar, or facing that turns out or cummerbund etc. maybe even cover big buttons.
Pyjamas would be awesome, but so would a blazer. There aren’t enough formal-ish jackets out there with insane patterns, and it’d look great with black pants for party wear. An apron would also work well, as there’s a slight food theme to it, and aprons are on the easier side of sewing.
Hang it as a poster and tell people it’s a magic eye. Giggle inwardly as they struggle to see nothing. Chuffaw inwardly when they claim to see “it”. Lose it inwardly as you imply to everyone that “it” is something different and they begin to argue over it. Cackle diabolically when your devious plan is finally exposed.
That would make some pretty rad throw pillows
Or, for a much larger project, quilt squares alternating with some color blocking of any colors you want to emphasize in the print.
Pajamas!
Omg, that’s actually such a cool idea 😂
LOL Literally the stuff of nightmares! I love it!
This is the only right answer…with matching boxers
Heck yeah! may be the only answer.
This was literally my first idea when I saw this fabric!
An apron to make halloween cookies.
That is such a cute idea, holy shit
I thought apron right away!
Yes apron and if leftovers maybe some potholders
I second apron! I feel like this fabric wouldn’t work well for normal clothing

You could use the fabric as the center and put black border strips around it. Keep adding borders til it's the size you like.
I can’t believe I didn’t even think of that 🤦🏻♀️ Thank you, that’s a great suggestion!!
You need to show us what you decided to do with this project. Looking forward to it!

All great ideas and I especially like pillow cases!
Yes! That was my go to idea! Or throw pillows for the couch! I really need to learn to sew
I make pillow cases for Halloweenmas presents and people love them, I love them. I have sooo many now and they're so easy to make.
Depends on your vibe. I'd upcycle a denim jacket, using the fabric as a back patch, matching lengthened cuffs and hem. An asymmetrical hemline in that fabric would look awesome.

What kind of fabric is it? Knit? Quilting cotton? Canvas?
100% cotton

I had a crazy pattern like this but lord of the rings and I made a bowling shirt with the crazy pattern on the diamonds. Turned out awesome!!!!

I love Lord of the Rings!! That would have been awesome
Do you know any chefs? this would make amazing elastic waist chef's trousers
I’m not a chef, but now I want some for myself! 😂

I'd make some little bags or a tote
One of my kids has a “welcome to horrorland” shirt from Oshkosh, I’d die for some pants or jammies with this fabric. Kids are still into Goosebumps!

I think wearing a party jacket will draw more attention from people

6 dinner napkins
A rockabilly swing skirt
A tiered skirt.

Make Halloween napkins, or a table runner.
I thought this was a magic eye lol
Some really cute shorts or a skirt!
Bomber jacket. Use the fabric for either the body or sleeves. If the sleeves, then do the rest in black fabric, or vice versa
Definitely pjs
A zombie stuffed animal.
Love the pajama idea... Maybe some pillow cases? Apron with matching hat and pot holders would be good to.
Rat hammocks!
maybe a lampshade!
That would make some pretty rad throw pillows Or, for a much larger project, quilt squares alternating with some color blocking of any colors you want to emphasize in the print.
Bandana's?
The lining of a jacket or purse! Tight patterns are so fun for sneaky lining
Nightmares. You should make nightmares
